Our Cloe had four pups, three females and one male. Call me crazy, but since she is four and after they brought in 6,400....I fixed her. I did use part of the money to buy a really nice opal with two karats of diamonds around her. When I get angry with her I just look at my finger and give her a kiss. |
Lily had to have a c-section....5 pups born. Lily developed an infection and passed away 5 days later. One of the puppies lasted 2 weeks, one lasted 3 weeks......we are only left with 3 puppies, but luckily they seem to be doing great at 4 weeks old. |
I have never had a C-section with any of my litters and any puppies lost have all been within 24 hours. My last litter (Mom 4 3/4 pounds, Dad just under 4 pounds) at the end of July produced 4 puppies, 3 boys and 1 girl. One little boy had respiratory difficulties at birth and survived less than 24 hours. He was 2 and 1/2 ounces at best, compared to the others at 3 and 3 and 1/2 ounces. Although, I would say and he did look premature, she was only mated one time at the very end of the cycle (wasn't planning on breeding her this heat) since I had just bought her recently. The others are all very healthy and are 17 weeks old now settled into their new homes. We are having a puppy visiting day today so I can't wait to see what they weigh and what they are looking like. |

Breny, Well wishes for a happy healthy uneventful delivery. That's the great thing about YT we can all help each other out. I know if I ever have a cleft baby I am going to get in contact with you! |
