i'm 52. No grandkids yet. had my one and only son at 30, so I started late.

The poll just went up, another 50's person. I have one 34 years old and 2 grandkids and I also have a 23 year old, still at home. So I had an early and late start.

I'm with you. I was 58 this past October. Some days I feel it, and others days I think I am still 30 something. LOL!!

56 this past November. And I'm with you on feeling different ages on different days - some days I feel way past 56

and some days 30 odd.

I'm the same age as Disneyland! Scary!! We both become senior citizens this year. I have 2 grandchildren, one granddog, and a son at home that will probably move out in the near future. It will be sad, but I will be excited for him. I'm waiting for my new furbaby to get a little bigger so I can take him home in March on my birthday!!! The timing is great!

I noticed throughout this thread that there are a lot of October birthdays. I'd be curious to find out what month the most YTers birthdays are in.

I have too. Guess we need to start a January, Feb, March, etc thread to find out the dates, and what month does have the most.

ok...someone explain to me how to link a message. In other words, how do I get the light blue box with someone's message to appear in my message so I can comment on it??

Anyway...to the person who said she will be 50 this year...Plan something great! I don't like the usual birthday parties but I wanted to ride in a helicopter on my 50th birthday. Love to fly, but never done that. My husband arranged it though a friend. It was awesome!! Afterward we both got in the car and he said I thought we would just hang out at home for the day. (we had both taken the day off) I said ok...but wait...he had another gift which he handed me. I opened a Disney box to find season passes to D-land. We then drove to Disneyland and spend the day there. Yes, I wore the birthday sticker they gave me and was greeted all day by the employees wishing me a happy birthday. My husband is not an amusement park type of guy. He went several times with me through the year though. I remember my 50th birthday as the best birthday ever so far!! I hope your 50th is as special. It takes the sting out of the number!
