Hmm.. Max and I nap together but at night he sleeps in his crate... this is mostly because my Boyfriend moves a lot in his sleep, so its for Max's best interest that he sleeps in his own bed! |

NOT an equal opportunity Mom... :( This is a yes and a no (and another no) for me. Maggie definately sleeps in my bed...has since she came to me 4 years ago. Molly is put in her crate at this point...until I trust her a little more on the housebreaking part. MacKenzie who just joined us yesterday will, like Molly, be sleeping next to our bed in a crate...just until we get the housebreaking down (which may be a while given how really young and sma.. MacKenzie is). You see, in addition to a down comforter...which Maggie LOVES above pretty near all things in this house, we have a feather tick (feather bed) on our bed...and those things cost a FORTUNE to have cleaned if you have puppy accidents on them. |
These silly pups do love their comfort don't they, lol!! |
Ralphie is too much of a inquisitive little guy to sleep in bed. He will get up at nite and walk to use the bathroom (pee pad), also, we have 2 goldens -and one of them ususally is in bed with us..guess who would get squished! After reading a post about a Yorkie who fell out of bed and broke his neck-- I am not willing to chance that. So, there have been some nites I fall asleep on the floor.. then he comes over and cuddles up with me.. |
lexi has her own bedroom since we have no children thus far (Newlyweds). It is her room and her room alone that is where all her toys are, her crate, and water dish. We crate her every night bc she cna't be truste to roam the house. She can't sleep with us bc she wants to play all night and runn around the bed so we are forced to put her in the crate. She doens't seem to mind it, she doens't even fuss. |
Josey jackson and Jewels sleep with us all three are on my side of the bed of course I climb in and they are like an assembly line I lift the covers and they all file in, they are like sand bags though refill so close to you if ya move, they start sleeping with us when they can stay dry all night for at least 2 weeks ,then there are no accidents in our bed. |
I hope Maggie will sleep with us when she gets totally housebroken and when I get her a stool to get up and down off of our tall bed. I'm afraid right now that she might hurt herself, jumping off the bed. I do take naps with her though. |
We've done it both ways. The funniest thing though was waking up one night and seeing Sabrina pooping off the end of the bed! She didn't want in trouble - wouldn't wake me up - her solution!! HA HA. I'm fixing to put her on the floor again. She has a comfy bed right next to mine, and I'm getting another puppy and it's just enough already! She sleeps sideways in the bed with her butt right up against my back and every morning I find that I have inched over to the very edge of the bed! It was a bad habit and I'm going to re crate train her and the new puppy too. Maybe naps with me - maybe not. |
Tini used to sleep in my bed (only for a period of about a month) which I totally loved....until.....she started acting up all night long. She would wake up at 2 or 3 or 4 am and want to play or just start barking etc and would not go back to sleep. After a week of this I had to get her to sleep in the crate. First two nights she was really mad, but now she knows that is her bed. |
Odie sleeps right next to me, in between 2 pillows! |
Kelsey doesnt usually sleep with me. I dont want to spoil her...but every now and then I will let her. Especially early in the morning when i want to sleep in if she starts to whine b/c she has to go potty i let her go and then let her sleep with me for another hour or so so i can get my sleep :D |
Little Ones Sleep in Bed My Yorkie and Cairn babies sleep in bed. In winter, they wear pj's and have their own baby blankets on top of my covers. It is the cutest thing so see them tucked in and sleepy :aimeeyork My Yorkie also snores sometimes, and it is the sweetest little sound :aimeeyork My Cairn sleeps on his back with his legs all sprawled out...He's a funny little guy, and the tip of his tounge (sp?) always sticks out. Little fuzzy faced babies :aimeeyork |
