I think a lot of people get little dogs because they think they're low-maintenance, i.e., small turds, able to exercise around the house, cuddlers... But Eddie is the highest-maintenance dog I've ever owned: He MAKES me walk him once a day (by yapping at the window or pacing), he MAKES me play with him when he gets bored (by chewing on my pants leg), he MAKES me take him with me when I go somewhere (by giving me the sad eyes). I'm am truly Yorkie-whipped.

Yes, they are truly high maintenance dogs but only because we allow ourselves to be . . . who could resist those adorable faces anyway! I know I have neglected so much of my chores since I had Tiger . . . and like if that is not enough, now am seriously thinking of getting another one

Both of my girls are very high maintenance. But we cant blame them bc its all our fault for letting them get away with things. Oh well I love my little girls and I wouldn't have them any other way!

Yes I have all the same issues here.. and if you ignore or try to ignore one of those warning signs,, he starts BARKING at me! Like " LISTEN TO ME, I wanna go out, I wanna go with you, I need to go for a walk."

LOL, at the " small turd" statement.

I would agree my yorkie kids are far more demanding than any other
breed I have ever owned, but that's why I probably love them soooo
much...it's like they truly need me and are always asking for something
from me which makes them far more a part of my life than if they just
layed around and took up space. The are the best beggars in the world
and they must be born knowing how to give the "LOOK" that gets them
about anything they want in this world. I don't think any of my human
kids could pout as well as these little guys can either. I am totally
addicted to high maintenance dogs!

I do have to say that I think Baby is probably the craziest ADHD dog I have ever seen? Anyone think they can top Baby's hyperactivity? Let me know!!

I think because they are high maintenance is why you love them so much. If they weren't they would be boring and less human like!! LOL

They certainly tell me what they are thinking and how they are feeling..just like a woman over 50

I sort of agree with everyone who says it's our choice to spoil and pamper them, but they are just so TINY. We've just GOT to give them a LITTLE extra attention. Don't we?

I must say i always thought Pippa was low maintence, she just fits in with me with what ever i do until.......
She went to be spayed a couple of weeks ago and for the day she was gone i seemed to have so much more free time.... i think maybe i fit in with her rather she fits in with me LOL

VERY High maintenance!!!!!!
She has the run of the house and I would think of use too.....LOL
I do have three other dogs on top of that. She is the QWEEN of the house!!!!!
