I don't have to, as soon as I hit the sheets my two boys run up the ramp to go to bed too :D |
Thanks everyone for responding:) I actually thought many more people carried their dogs! |
No- sometimes mine are already in the bed, sometimes they come with me, and sometimes they come later. They are basically free to roam as they want. |
No carrying here either. It sounds cute though. Kaji has learned to sit by the bed and wait until I'm all settled in for bedtime. I give him he all clear symbol and he hops into bed. We sleep on a very low futon. He'll either go find a place to settle into, stare at me to lift up the blanket so he can sleep under the covers, or wait for me to hug him. I love falling asleep with him in my arms. He politely waits until I fall asleep before wiggling out and settling in for the night. |
Mine follow me and run up their ramp to get on the bed, so there is no need for me to carry them :) |
We always carry Lil Louie to bed. He's such a little cuddle bug. |
Bedtime can get embarrassing! If I am not getting ready for bed by 10 or 11 pm Cali starts bugging me to go to bed. She has stairs up the side of the bed so she can get up and down onto and off the bed on her own. I usually just stuff my night gown under my pillow when I make the bed in the a.m. -- imagine having a living room full of guests and at bed time Cali comes dragging my gown down the hall into the living room to let me know it is bedtime! :D |
The only time I carry mine to bed is when they are puppies. And it to their cage not my bed. Mine know my routine so well that I dont even have to say "Bed Time" any more.... |
Nope, lol. The minute I leave a room, Jackson follows me. |
I carry Frisco up to bed (our bed), off the bed, back on the bed, down the stairs, up the stairs....occasionally he'll go 2 steps off the deck.....he's 17 y/o and I'm not chancing something happening....Codi (8 y/o), gets a lift into bed....sometimes off. |
Yep, I usually carry my babies to bed when they wait for me :D Some times, they just go up with their daddy. When we go out and come home late, they're so tired, they don't bother to wait for us and go up by themselves and take my spot on the bed. Oops, here comes Nicky looking for me to come to bed now :p and he means NOW :dogsm2: |
Barley is always dying to go to bed. He's actually a nag about it. If it gets to be 9:30 and I'm not going to bed he will get in my face and then run off down the hall to my bedroom so on the weekends I tell him, not yet. Bijou thinks every time I shut my cell phone it's time for her to jump up and go outside...they always go out right before we go brush our teeth LOL |
Are you kidding? All I have to say is time to go night night. Everyone scrambles for their fav toy or nylabone and are in the bedroom, on the bed barking for us to hurry up. Hubby and I pull down comforter, place their snuggle blanket, then everyone gets a treat. We are creatures of habit here. |
I didn't know how to answer this one..... they always beat me to bed, but wait bedside to be lifted up. :D |

When my daughters lived with us they were not so neat. The dogs would go into their bathroom and get underwear.... imagine having a guest and one of your dogs runs in with a red frilly thong .. |
