Do You Dress Up Your Yorkie in Clothes? Does your Yorkie have a wardrobe? |
Quote:
Otis actually has a place in my closet where I hang various sweaters and coats I've purchased for him in Paris and New York. (For anyone who loves to dress their dogs, New York is the best city to find cool stuff for their pets. Ask me for a list of shops!) He also has several hats, including a rainbow beanie with a spinning propeller. Last Halloween, he had a little cowboy outfit, complete with a lasso and chaps, but it was too big for him! He also has pajamas, but he doesn't know how to pee with them on. |
My Yoda is a very posh little boy. He has tons of clothes and toys and other cute things. Here's some images of him with his Polo shirt on his Snoopy couch, munching on a Greenie. http://www.wooba.com/albums/Yoda/yoda_polo2.sized.jpg Someone made him a 2004 New Year's Party Hat as well. Yes, he is a wee bit spoiled... :P http://www.wooba.com/albums/Yoda/yoda2004a.sized.jpg |

Yoda gets brushed a lot and his grandparents were show dogs, I believe. Yup, he loves Greenies! Keeps him occupied for a while. Although he does like to throw his greenies around when they become little 1/2" chunks. Very odd that Yoda can be. You should share your pictures of Otis! |
Can you guys give me some ideas about where to buy clothes, bows (for boys), hats, outfits, Snoopy beds :), etc. I would prefer internet sites if you have them as I unfortunately cannot get to NYC soon :) |
p.s. how do your dogs "let" you put the hats/clothes on, and do they leave them alone once their on? Can they go to the bathroom in these clothes? |
I dunno about let. Clothes Yoda likes. Hats and other assorted headgear he HATES. So we just put it on for a little bit and just take a picture. :) He absolutely HATED his Easter Bunny costume we got him for his first Halloween. He liked his Superman outfit tho for last Halloween. I'll have to dig up those pictures sometime. For Yoda's sweaters and other gear, there is a good cutout near his belly area so he can pee easily. The sweaters also do not cover his butt area. |
Yall have lost it....LOL GONE TOO FAR...my dogs are "aunatural"....No clothes...if your dog is exposed to conditions that warrant clothing, "HELLO get a clue---Take his ass inside lol...yall are a trip...yorkies need to be inside their castle, not out in the elements... |
heheh, yes, EVERYONE gives me crap about it. But Yoda likes it, plus he likes to walk around the lake and it's still a balmy 50 degrees, even when it's sunny out here in Seattle. |
Fast Eddie, where are you getting the clothes? |

I attempt to dress up my dog, but she HATES it!!! :p |
Blondy: Yoda usually gets them from Petco, sometimes from Petsmart. His grandma has made him a sweater as well. We really haven't shopped online or on ebay for him yet and he still has a suitcase full of clothes. Heheh |
You people have a bunch of spoiled Yorkies!!! Okay, that's to be expected, I guess. But suitcases of clothes! Yorkie fashion show anyone? |
Dressing your yorkie? I do have outfits for Brady. When it's cold he loves his sweaters. |
I answered YES, but Stomper doesn't like it very much. I usually only have his cloths on for a few minutes and take them off. He acts weird when I put cloths on him! |
our don't have clothes because i've just not taken the time to do it. i'm not against it at all. i think it's rather cute actually. but when i have to choose btwn clothes for my kids or yorkies....weeeeeeeeeeeell.... ...it's not always easy. :D |
I occasinally dress up my babies, but being in Florida they aren't really that love with the clothing, so I usually only use it for pictures. |

I must confess..... my yorkies love running around in the raw....lol. :D |
I put a coat on him for warmth only. |
I just have two sweaters and two coats for Trixie. It gets really really really cold up here in Wisconsin, and Trixie is trained to go potty outside. So I figured I need to keep her warm. She doesn't wear clothes inside (yet ;) ). |
Its getting a little chilly here in Kentucky, and Chloe has been wearing her little shirts. She wears her harness vests when she's outside. (Shana lined them with a nice soft warm lining that keeps her warm) She doesn't like to be cold!!!!!! Joy |
I'm attempting to put swearter etc on Minnie she will wear tee shirts and some dresses. Can you tell me how to get them use to wear PJ I would like to keep my heat down more this winter with the cost of gas going up all the time? Carol |
oh this is a very old thread. I'm glad it came floating out again! YES Gus has a wardrobe. I'm always getting into trouble because of it because it's getting bigger and bigger. I keep his clothing in a suitcase neatly folded and stacked with t-shirts, jerseys, sweaters, hoodies and pj's (which he hates!) |
My girls love to wear clothes...we have a whole drawer full of them...anything from coats to sundresses to banadas to their new Halloween costumes....I love to dress them up....Magic always does great but Sailor can be picky about what she is wearing!! |
CHarlie has well.. 3 tshirts, 2 sweaters, 1 coat, 1 bath robe, and 1 hoodie. ohh i guess make that three sweaters, i just made him one. He loves wearing clothes. I say charlie want your sweater on? and he stands on his back legs and waves at me. He looks cute in all of his clothes. |
My 3 have quite a wardrobe from PJ's, coats, shirts, dresses, joggers etc and hairbows & bandanas! I'm pathetic but my puppies are always happy to dress because they know they are going with me and they love the attention they get from everyone who meets them! |
