Forgot to add...I usually employ what I call...personal ignore...haven't literally placed someone on "ignore"...but I don't read what they post.

Same here, or if I do read their post it is only to further understand what else has been posted within a thread. If it is a thread that person starts I usually never even open the thread.

Once, I did put someone on ignore, only to see what the thread actually looked like if I "ignored" someone. When I realized you could still see they posted, just not what they posted, I took them off.

Same with me~there has only been one person on my ignore and she is not banned. Wonder if it's the same person :p

I also use my personal ignore too. This seems to work well for me and there are those that I never open posts from because they make my head hurt :rolleyes:

No, I've wanted to, but sometimes information posted is just so dangerous. I don't mind if they are just annoying, but occasionally certain people have posted information and advice that could have proven deadly, if someone had listened to her. I can do a mental ignore, it's something I've learned from the men in my life. :D

Can someone explain how the 'ignore' feature works? Does it mean that if they post on YT you can't see their posts?

Their user name shows up and says...you have blocked this user....but yes you do not see their posts

Wylie's Mom once said that when someone bugs her, she uses that information to learn more about herself and her own shortcomings. After learning that, I put her on ignore! :D

I did use the ignore feature once. That person did nothing wrong, I just found them extremely annoying. After seeing that I still see what they posted but cannot see what they posted it was like their annoyance factor grew by 20! I un-ignored the person and now just don't click on any thread started by them.

Yep, I have 1 person on there.. Wylie's Mom. And yes, she will be blocked for all of eternity.

I've never blocked anyone. Yes, sometimes some posts annoys me but I think I'm really dense or something, it takes me a long time to connect the screen name to the posts.

I've got both of them on mental ignore for now, but I have had both on real ignore. :D
