How old are Yorkie owners?
 
I'm trying to figure out if Yorkie owners are predominantly young, ala Paris Hilton, or somewhere approaching my age, which at 49 is closer to that of Paris, France.

I realize this thread has the potential to get me banned from a Web community made up predominantly of women, so I'll make this an anonymous poll to protect the bashful.

The first choice is just to make Megan feel special.

My husband and I have been married for 26 years and for 25 of those
years he begged me to get a yorkie and everytime he was met with
a firm "no they are too small" This last year we certainly didn't need
another dog but the subject came up again and I guess after all of
the years of fighting him on the subject I just gave in with a "fine, but
I am not taking care of it" Fast forward to 7 months later.....Teddy is
the absolute love of my life and the biggest mama's boy I have ever
seen. If I had only known what I was missing out on sooner. LOL...
So, I guess we are late bloomers to the breed but as they say better
late than never.....

Oops, to fellow 49-and-abovers, I apologize in advance for saying we're closer to the age of Paris, France. Bad joke. Might have been funnier if I said sometimes I FEEL closer to the age of Paris, France.

LOL!!!! :p :p I'm 36 and when I see other yorkie owners out in my area they usually look my age or older :)

Thanks ... I think ... from an "abover"!! OMG ... just realized my son is pretty close to your age!! But, I'm happy to report .... he talks baby talk to Toto!!! ;)

22 year ol' youngin' here :) I've owned Yorkies for 6 years and assisted in whelpings for the past 4. I've been a dog person since I came out of the womb and woofed instead of cried :p

Beauty before age is the standard. ;)

I guess I would be apart of the Paris Hilton age demographic but ya'll know my love for a "small" breed is far from Miss Paris reasons. :rolleyes:

I just turned 19 and I have Cosmo who is 7 months old and Astro (yorktese) who is 11 weeks old.

I'm the same age...I don't see that many...but I'd say the ones that ask and seem interested are in my age bracket...

I'm twenty-two and share Tigger with my boyfriend of almost a year. He's twenty-four. and Tigger is four months old.

I just did a double check in my head on my age.....and am embarassed to say that I am 37, not 36 like I posted earlier :confused: I forgot I turned 37 this past April :p GEEZ!!!! With age comes wisdom and memory loss!!!

I am 45 and have decided to start counting backwards....

The last time this was polled I think most on yt are in there 20's. Didnt see many my age..

for all of you in your late thirtys or early forties, My biological parents are in your same age group. and I'm twenty two, and my younger brother just turned twenty one. I'll be twenty three in Feburary.

My biological mother (I haven't seen her since I was nine) is just going on forty I believe.

And my daddie would be going on forty two or is it three? (he died when I was eleven)

I still consider all of my parents to be young. I don't consider fifty old. sixty or seventy? yes that's old. so please be happy with your age. For the most part we are all young in here.

and My mom that my real daddie married when I was nine is going on fifty five. and my step dad is going on fifty two. I could be off a couple of years.

:yeahthat: Hittin' the big 40 this December 20th! I love my Skeeter, and agree that Yorky ownership is not only for the young and your never too old to give your heart to a Yorkie.. So Paris Hilton isn't the only youngin' to be a Posh Yorkie Owner.. We might be older those of us that are 40 and above but we are just as or if not classier with our Yorky Babies! :kiss: Here's to the older crowd!! :thumbs up
