Is Innova not a good brand? I don't want to feed raw, I've tried that with Buster, he did not like it. Maggie will pretty much eat anything, but I want something they will both eat...and like!:confused: |
Jackson has been doing VERY well on Nature's Variety Instinct. He likes Duck & Turkey flavor and Rabbit flavor the best. We love this food here because it's the first food he eats voluntarily and loves. I like that it's grain-free! I believe the last time I did this poll he was eating Wellness, which he liked but got terrible eye gunk on. |
I switched from Nutro (I know Gasp! - that's what he was on when I bought him) to Halo Spot's Stew. He loves it! I free feed the kibble and give him a couple tablespoons of the moist a day. |
I feed them Orijen kibbles in the morning and home cooked food at night.. |
We feed Life's Abundance kibble for past 4 years and have added in the LA canned (in morning only) for the past year...they still love it and never had any issues or recalls on their products. |
We're now feeding Fromm. Salmon a la Veg and now, only because they were out of Salmon, we have Whitefish and Potato. We'll go back to Salmon or rotate to Chicken for a while. Ours love it. http://www.frommfamily.com/products-fs-d.php |
Well I'm feeding mine with Science Diet only because somebody gave me samples now the food it's finished and I'm looking what to gave her. She doesn't like the dry food only I have to mix it with some wet. I was thinking in Purina Beneful or Pro Plan I don't see anybody here mention the commercial brands it seems it's not good for them. If somebody could tell me I will appreciate I have to buy food today and I would like to know what is the best for her. :thumbs up |
Switched from Royal Canine to Natural Balance. No more over abundance of eye goop and no more itchy skin! :D |
Now I'm confused, I've been searching and apparently all foods have something wrong. I'm from Puerto Rico and the only "good quality foods" I have seen is Science Diet and Royal Canin. And of course in the supermarket Purina Beneful and Proplan. I'm afraid of give her something that it's not good for her. |
Max and Mickey are eating Nature's Variety Prairie Lamb & Oatmeal. I have a bag of Life's Abundance that I am going to transition them to since the NV is getting low. I have the LA from when we got Mickey (Drew) 2 weeks ago because that was what he was eating at Breny's. Mickey kept eating Max's NV food and not the Life's Abundance he had. |
Now we're eating. . . This year Prince has tried the following dry foods: Innova Puppy - He wasn't crazy about it :thumbdown Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul - Great food but he didn't like this one too much either :thumbdown TOTW - He loved it but the poop almost evacuated the house :( Natural Balance - Gave him terrible, I mean unbelievable, gas  Wellness Core - so good so far  This Thanksgiving we are going to try wet food for the first time. I bought a small can of Wellness Core, hopefully he won't like it too much and will still want dry food. |

Can you get SD Nature's Best? |
Interesting poll, thanks for doing it! I switched Eddie to Orijen this year, supplementing with a Dr. Pitcairn homecooked recipe, lightly cooked. He loves it, and will eat it with or without the homecooked, which is basically meat, potatoes, vegetables and supplements. Jillie's still on puppy food, the Royal Canin the breeder had her on. She also gets the Pitcairn supplement. She's 7 months, so I need to give some thought to what I want to switch her to. |
Zoe's still eating Merrick's Wilderness Blend. Zoe tasted some as a puppy at another YT'ers house and loved it ever since. (Of course she gets less now that she's an 'adult'.. :p ) She used to go a day or two without eating, and now for a good 8+ months she's eating every meal with vigor! :) |
I feed a rotation diet of high protein/grain free kibble. :) |
