ive already taken the puppy. i dont think all pups need a checkup when you first get them do they |

Of course they do....you want to insure there are no presence of worms for one thing. That involves testing a fecal sample and if your puppy is 6 weeks old...it's likely she never had the second dose of de-wormer. It's given more than one time. If she's 8 weeks old it's time to begin her vaccinations. No vet is going to worm or vaccinate a puppy without an examination. |
0o was expecting a poll  is this a poll to ask if to take the puppy in to a vet for vaccinations ? *confused* take that puppy to the vets already.. being soo small it can pick up anything or already have a jumbo belly of worms .. part of buying a new puppy/dog or any pet is to have vaccinations done its usually the first time your vet will see the puppy and can treat if needed for puppy related stuff ..if the breeder got rid of the puppies soo young it is doubtful that they bothered to worm them ..that puppy could be getting robbed of all the needed nutrients from its food |
How old R U? R U on your own, or live with yr parents. I agree with all the posting, if U can't afford the proper care, don't take the pup. |

As far as 8 weeks, the pup should do fine at that age and that weight. |
im only 20 yrs old and my puppy is 8 weeks old. i live with my boyfriend. |
no the breeder didn't do any shots at all. this thursday will be her first set ever. |
No shot's That mean's it's never seen a vet. it need's to see a vet & get all of it's shot's fecal, heart worm test, Plus a FULL check up. If you cannot afford this Find the dog a new home. I really hope you didn't pay a lot for this dog. Your age does not matter by the way ,You choose to get the dog you need to take responsibility for it. |
i didn't pay anything for this dog. this dog is a pick of the litter its my dogs puppy. i have the dad. |

ya i understand that my breeder didn't even want the pups past 6 weeks but she kept them until 8 |
The dog should have at least gotten a parvo shot & if the breeder did not want to get any shot's it should have at least seen a vet for a check up & not Given away at 6 week's. Vaccination Recommendations for Puppies (Puppy Shots) Forget past shot's she said she can't even afford future Checkup's Or shot's. |
she was given away at 7 and half weeks not 6. naula has never ever seen a vet |
is this some kind of joke? a person cant afford a vet check? times are tough i know but put 15.00 a week back for 2 weeks and boom theres your check up cost. next time i would be smarter when studding out your male. and i wouldnt do it again until you know the ends and outs because you really dont sound like you are real educated in that subject banfield (although i dont recommend them) does free exams on wellness days i dont think it makes someone a bad breeder for letting them go at 8 weeks. JMO we dont all have to agree but 6 weeks is too young and illegal in most cases i dont agree with waiting to give vaccines at 10-12 weeks..mine get them right at 6 weeks |
God forbid there is ever an emergency. |
