| Do you shave the hair by your yorkie's eyes? I've always wanted to ask this question. I didn't start doing this until 3 months ago. Now I am having a hard time letting it grow out! Do you shave the hair by your yorkie's eyes?

| How do you do that exactly? My little guy needs to be groomed next week and during those weeks of waiting for our next appointment he can hardly see. I would like to try shaving it though! I think this time I'm going to tell the girl to cut it shorter around his face.

I didn't start doing this until 3 months ago when Stomper's hair started to get so long by his eyes and started to collect "eye boogies". Now I am having a hard time letting it grow out! Do you trim the hair close to the inner part of the eyes?

| I only shave the ones that don't go into the show ring. To prevent the hair from getting into their eyes I use a all natural product of beeswax to get the hair to lay down. It works wonderfully for me.....

| pet babies great trick ok if your Not showing take a pair of thining shears a great pair for dogs can be bought at your local Dollar store!!! rounded edges and trim 1 keeps your babies eyes safe and two removes some of the bulk around puppies eyes making eyes look much larger with out blunt ends looking like yove given you dog a haircut good luck start with a little and go up ! |

I Love Thor Donating Member | I had been cuting Thor's but it seemed that there were a lot of yorkies that didn't have their eye hair cut there so I have been letting it grow out. I also am letting his hair grow a little long around his whole body. It seems like if you let it grow out then you dont have to keep bothering with it, but if you cut it then you have to keep cutting it...Humm all the decisions we have to make. He can't see much right now, but I think the hair should fall down soon! Or I might cut it ? |
