Do you prefer topknot? To be honest I would love 2 put CoCoa B. hair up in a topknot, but of course, he doesn't have enought hair yet, and I don't think that he ever would. He's 9 month's now, lol. So do you prefer topknot? |
Yes, yes, yes, Joey hair was thin on top the first year, and pure white, but it thickened up and got some color to it, so I started growing it out. I think short hair is really cute and it looks typical dog-like, but I have fallen in love with topknots, and I never thought I would. I always thought they were too froufrou, especially for a boy dog! Yorkietalk had too many cute topknot pictures, and won me over. |
I like topknots. Chloe's hair is still thin so its hard to get a nice one , but I think she looks cute anyway . I like the puppy look also, but I love her hair sticking up with bows in it :D if only she did:rolleyes: |
I tried to keep Jamie's hair cut short enough not to need a topknot when he was younger, but I have up and grew it out. Now he has the cutest little short topknot and I can't imagine him without it! |
ABSOLUTELY!!!! I won't have it any other way :D We are a ponytail family all the way...boys and girls! :p |
I voted doesn't matter...Winston doesa not wear a topknot...but I also love those that do. |
Yes, I love topknots. It's the classic yorkie look. But my two boys just won't put up with them! They rub and paw and generally freak out whenever anything is on their heads. So their topknots last about 3 seconds. |
Yes, I absolutely love topknots! :) |
I LOVE the topknots 1 Attachment(s) I love Beatrice in a topknot, especially with all of her hair. However I love yorkies with short cuts and without topknots too. They're cute either way.I think that if I ever cut Beatrice's hair short ,I'll still leave a little topkot :p |

I love the top knots.....I have three boys and they all wear a pony, sometimes I do a braid.......it is a pain in the butt but it sure is cute.... On most days I have to recomb and put the hair back in about 3-4 times....x's that by three boys and you can see why it gets to be a pain....;) |
I love the topknot, but Gwen does not. It doesn't matter what I use to put it up she rips it out and if it's in there good she'll break hair and rip it out too just to get the topknot out! Right now she has bangs that she always wears over her right eye by her own choice I try pulling them up or back and she just scratches and rubs and paws until they are back how she likes them. Crazy dog! |
I prefer my dogs in topknots. They think I'm crazy. I put one in, they drag their heads on anything and everything to get them out. They end up breaking their hair. I end up giving up. :) |
I think when the hair grows long on their heads it looks cute sometimes when some of the hair comes down a little bit over their eyes, not to the point where they can't see, but just enough to make it look cute. I've never been a fan of topknots. Most of the time, I keep Sasha's head hair short so it doesn't come over her eyes anyways. |
I voted either way since Izzy has always been in a topknot since a baby I have seen countless gorgeous babies on this forum without the topknot and they are precious. So etiher way is fine with me..but sometimes the baby does not want one so that decides it for the owner.:D |

I am not a big fan of a top knot. I llike a puppy cut best on Yorkies, so I voted no. |
Never thought I would but since I've had Bailey I love them. When I first got him it was long and because I couldn't do it right I cut about 3 inches off. :( |
I love the top knot. My DH will not allow a bow, but I put it up in a clear band. |
I love the topknot look but Muņeca (baby doll) doesn't like it. I was always under the impression that yorkies were "OK" with having their hair in some sort of bow or topknot. I was almost disappointed that she didn't like it and I tried early on to see if she'd get used to it. Her first groomer put a beautiful red bow in but it didn't last long. We've tried bows and barrets and clips, but nothing has worked. She paws at it until it looks like it will fall off on its own, or like it's pulling and looks uncomfortable. Long story short I love the topknot, just wish my furbaby would too! :p |
I love the top knot ... funny I call it a Tweetie Bird (that's what they used to call that when I was a kid) I don't know if Odie likes it though. He definitely will not wear a bow. I've tried and he gets it out right away. He does let me use the tiny elastics but I have to fix it 2 or 3 times a day. I wrap it around the middle to the top, not low to his head and I make certain that no hair is pulling or that it is too tight. He leaves it alone and I found shades of blue elastics at the dollar store. So he wears white, baby blue, dark blue and a teal colour. I was just wondering recently if I should cut the top short and forego the top knot but he looks soooo cute ... I did have to trim his ponytail because it was getting way too long. My husband is very happy he won't wear a bow ... bows are not for boys he says!!! LOL ... my daughter and I try them every so often anyway. |
I love the topknot, usually I do GiGi's is pigtails but she would prefer I left her hair alone. |
Bentley is still too young, and doesnt have enough hair for a top knot, but I cant wait till he can have one! my boyfriend isnt too keen in the idea, especially since hes a boy pup, but i insist he has one! i think its so cute, plus it keeps the hair out of the eyes... |
I love the topknots!! They are just so "YORKIE"!! LOL....Kiki hates having one though...and she will rub her head on anything to get it out! LOL |
magic wears a topknot every day. have been doing it since he was 8 weeks and he is going to be seven. it does not bother him i guess it is just a way of life for him. i do take it out at night so he sleeps without one to give the top of his head a rest. :aimeeyork |
Yes I do, But I love them with out it too, both ways are cute. |
