Who clips the nails? Who clips the babies nails? Do you do it, have someone else do it, or know how to do it, but would rather have someone else do it. |
I would be afraid to do that. I let my groomer clip their nails. I wish I wasn't afraid though, it would save me some money. |
I do it, but only clip the very end. I'm thinking about getting one f those new Pedi Paws. |
The 1st two times Lil' Miss Izzie had her's clipped her vet did it...I have since purchased a Petipaw and trim them myself....just a lil bit each week... |

I do them all :) |
None of the above! :) Occasionally I do, the vet will sometimes but the groomer mostly does it. |
I clip them all and then smooth the nail with the Peticure. We've always trimmed the cats claws and being used to doing that helped when it came to the yorkies, although they didn't make it easy at first. |

When Sasha was younger, I used to trim her nails just a little bit when they looked like they were getting long. Then one time when I tried doing it, I accidently must've gotten too close to the quick and she definitely let me know. I haven't been able to do them since. Now she just gets them done when she goes to get groomed. |
I leave that part to the groomer. I'm too afraid to do it myself. I've never even tried! I can do everything else except clip her nails. |
My groomer just taught me how to clip the nails tonight. I was taking them half way between their groomer visits to PetSmart to get their nails trimmed and it was $8 a dog. I told her today and she was like "Goodness let me show you!" and I clipped both Chip and Smokey all by myself. So now, she'll clip their nails every six weeks and I'll do their nails in between. |
Cut nails??! who me?? lol Yea right i try but none of them will let me. I just pay for them to get it done |
I try to trim mine once a week...just the tips, after a bath. I have gotten too close before and they do let me know. I keep mine in full coat, so I do their grooming...retired hairdresser. The only thing I'm not comfortable with is removing the hair in the ear. I usually have the vet help out there. |
I've always done them myself, with a little help from hubby. I recently bought the new Dremel for pet nails, and it works great. It doesn't hurt them and it's very quiet. :aimeeyork |
