My Bella has never had an accident in one of those stores...thank goodness! :hands:I normally just carry her because some of the dogs in the stores are HUGE. :2omg:lol. But if she ever did have an accident, I would definitely clean up after her. I don't see why people are so tacky and leave their baby's "little presents" behind for someone else to step in...it's gross! :tongue4: |
:eek::eek: Good Doggy owner etiquette is that you always clean up after your babies!!!! |
Zaira goes everywhere with me. We go shopping about once a week in several different pet stores. Zaira has never had an accident in a store. We usually try to potty before we go into the car. But if she did I would clean it up myself. If babies are house broken they should be store broken too! LOL I do keep baggies in my car and purse just in case and I pooper scoop my yard weekly. Zaira must be shy about public pooing. She seems to only want to go in her own yard. I think she has only peed at parks and such. But I too have seen dog owners look the other way when it comes to being a responsible pet owner. Owners who leave poo give us resposible owners a bad name. |
I can't believe people would not pick up after their pets... it's so tacky and rude... not only to the people that work in the store, but to the other customers. It's really gross to walk by some other dogs feces... |
I don't let Aurora walk on the floor in those stores, so she doesn't leave messes in there. I seen too many dogs that looked sick and way too many dried messes on the floor, to let her walk. She stays in my arms or in her stroller. I get very grossed out because everytime I am at the local petco, there is dried pee and poo on the floors. Sometimes same dried spots are still there on the next trip. I no longer go there unless I really need to. |
And people wonder why their dogs wanna "go" on their floors at home. Ha! I always pickup after Precious goes. Anywhere we are. From the store to the back yard (dont wanna step in it when I mow now! LOL) People that dont p/u the mess are just plain lazy.:thumbdown |
No accidents! I take my 3 Yorkies to Petsmart once a week to get their Dogfood b/c it's one of 3 Stores that carry Royal Canin w/in a 3 State radius (I'm in South Carolina) so I have NO choice. I started a thread on this subject too! It's one of my biggest Pet Peeves about Lazy & irresponsible Dog Owners! It totally disgusts me b/c most of the time the Petsmart Employees don't bother to pick it up either or maybe they're just too busy to do it? Or some Employees just don't do it b/c they feel they are NOT getting Paid enough to do it? My Dogs rarely have an Accident since I make sure all 3 have gone pee & pooh before we ever go in. But if/when they ever have had an Accident I stop what I am doing and clean it immediately! NO excuses. |
I always clean up after my doggies, but....I don't let them walk around too much in pet stores or vets offices, etc. I put them in the shopping cart. I think it's safer for them that way. |
I always pick up after Sam. Our Petsmart and Petco tho....normally the employees (not all but some) if they see me doing it or about to do it then they say... Here let me do it for you. |

I always clean up any mess Cassi makes... One of my pet peeves are for people who don't clean up after their pets. I've been to Petco or Petsmart on a few occassions where I've seen a puddle of urine on the floor and have almost stepped into it. |
I think its very rude to leave it there! If everyone let their dogs go to the bathroom in the store and let the employers clean it, eventually they would get tired of it and prob stop letting pets into the store! This is one of the few places where pets are allowed, so why disrespect the store? |
You know what the obvious is.... So many diseases can be spread on your shoes.....LIKE PARVO! I dont put my girl down on their floors, unless she is on a potty pad, which I bring in with me......for fear, that even though she has had her shots.......I dont want ANY diseases....... And regarding the lady who "expected" clean up? Well, I would of purposely handed her a towel, and let her know I thought she might need that to clean up after HER dog....LOL:eek: |
