Are you the same in person as online? I saw this question on another forum and thought it would be fun to try here with the big Alexandria meetup recently scheduled. Are you the same in person as you are online? I think I'm a better person online. I have more patience. My goal, usually ;), is to be nice and have fun. Plus, online gives you more time to think, and I'm probably funnier because of it. In real life, that's not always the case. I can be serious. I'm no stick-in-the-mud, but I don't always open up as I might with the anonymity of the Internet. How about you? |
I think I am pretty much the same in person as online...maybe a little shy at first, but I usually get over that pretty quickly!! :) |
I'm the same too - except I'm thinner and prettier online:Dxxx |
I am a lot more outgoing, fun, chatty and witty in person....My written communication skills aren' t the greatest mainly because I have one speed and it is wide open and dont take the time to think before I type . |
omg...I LOVE IT!!:eyetearss Quote:

Well I'm not so serious all the time in real life. I joke around A LOT more than I do on here. It's not that I'm different...it's just that there are different personality traits that tend to show up. But I do think that overall I'm basically the same. :p |
Well I was gonna confess I'm better looking on line but I see that's pretty popular concept. Hmmmm, in person...I'm probably LOUDER. |
A friend and I talked about this subject before, people not being in person as they've presented themselves on-line. I don't understand why anyone would want to be any different on-line than in person....with the exception of being slightly more or less than your normal personality. What's the point in altering who you are for on-line purposes.....whether you..like me, hate me, love me, or leave me....I am, as I am. |
i think i'm more fun in person! |

I think that I am more patient on line. I get to really think thru my answer/remarks. I tend to be very passionate and sometimes speak my thoughts out loud in a way that is comes across quick and short. I grew up in large family so we just barely got our opinions out before someone had another one. I guess I just learned from early on to get my 2 cents in. |
I think I'm the same. I'm usually quiet around large groups. When I do open my mouth it's usually to say something sarcastic/funny.:D |
Im the same girl online and in person :) |
I'm pretty much the same. Though I may seem nicer online now that I think about it. I'm not at all "quick tempered" but I am more likely to defend or debate an issue that I'm passionate about in person. I think this is just because with a click of a button I can avoid threads that I shouldn't respond to... It's definitely easier to "hold my tongue" online. I'm also more sarcatic in person. Mainly because I can gauge my audience. It's harder to tell what will hurt someone's feelings or offend them, etc. online. |
