I'm a Speech-Language Pathologist and I work in a school setting. I love working with the kids and I'm off during the summer so that's also a bonus but I hate the exponentially increasing paperwork that comes with the job. |
I am in school but was recently working as a waitress part time, and i hated it! It makes you hate ppl! lol I don't think i like working with anything that has to do with customer service, etc. I am studying to be a nurse but im not sure that's really my 'passion'. I think im doing it more for my mom:confused::rolleyes: My passion is to run my own business but really...i need money to do that..so right now thats out of the question i guess. But yea i really would like to do something related to dogs, or create a product. |
I love my job and find it satisfying ...... because I DON'T HAVE ONE .... he he he ..... ;) |
All I can say is, I wish I were rich enough to quit or old enough to retire. Sorry to say I do not love my job, but I am happy to be employed. |
mmm.. since im a college student (sophomore), i just have a dinky job. i work at Sears in the electronics department.. yes, im that kid trying to sell you the extended warranty on that brand new tv you just bought ;). i like my job, but i guess its the location, we're not doing so hot in the grand ole Hammond, LA! haha. my mom keeps saying thats its the economy.... dont know about all that. i like my job fairly. i sit around and talk to coworkers most of the time.. sell electronics, and occasionally get cursed out by customers. its ok. a friend/coworker offered me a job at a coffee house she will be store manager of as soon as it opens for business.. so ill be leaving Sears in Sept. (:D) |
I'm a service adviser at a Chevrolet dealership. And while it does have it's ups and downs, I really love the people I work with and the customer base I've built over nearly 7 years now. I can't imagine doing anything else. |
I am a police dispatcher. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the people I work with, and I love the calls where I can make a positive difference. But for every call that ends on a really bright note, there are many more that do not. I guess that is just the nature of the job. During the roughest shifts, I am just thankful that this is my JOB. I am getting paid to do my part to try to make things better and right. For the people we are trying to help, these tragedies are their LIVES. After 10 years of this, I keep thinking that I can't handle one more fatal crash. Or one more DUI that seriously injures an innocent victim. Or, or, or.... But at the end of a ten hour shift, I go home to my Roxy puppy. All is well and calm. My family is safe and relatively sane. I know that I love them, and that I am loved. I don't love every moment of my job, but it has certainly taught me to be more grateful for all of the many, many blessings I have in my life! Wow. Thanks for letting me vent! |
Aww, it's nice to hear that you love your job. I've heard enough tapes of 911 calls that I know you guys are phenomenal. It's got to be stressful, and you guys are saints. |
WOW, this is one of the most shocking threads I've EVER read on YT, LOL :D!!! I cannot believe how many people LOVE their jobs! I feel like I'm on a different planet, I'm that surprised. I think it's very cool, but very surprising. I thought this thread would go a whole other way! |
