I voted for Savannah for this reason....Hubby and I have always talked about going there but have never made it yet....so im almost(almost) sure that if it is there I can get him to come.....and we are gonna need a vacation by then....lol ....youngest daughter is graduating from high school in may and getting Married May 23rd...9 days after she graduates...so we will be very deserving of an escape......lol...anywhere it is it sounds like fun |

And NC is beautiful - doing research as well in betwen checking here, emails and writing the summary for work. |
I was hoping there would be somewhere new to visit on the list of place but I've been to all those places :( Oh well....maybe in 2010 it will be somewhere new and fun!! I voted for San Diego because it was closest but not any other reason that that. I'm sure I'll go no matter where it is! |
I am so Torn on where to vote for.. I really would Like it to be some place like Seattle but I need to look at the places better. I was hoping it would be closer to home (Florida)to... Well off to investigate. |

Poor Portland, it has zero votes! |
well I am really interested... but depends on where it will be held of course.. I would have to go alone with one dog.. if jim could not go and we take the motorhome.. anne |
Another reason to choose Seattle Oh And Ya'll if we have it in Seattle ADMIN will have to come they live there :D |
We voted for VA! :D |

But I love the idea of Seattle if we could get ADMIN there!!! :D |
I keep refreshing this thread.. I just can't wait til next week to see what city gets choosen, lol. |
I voted for Alexandria, Virginia. I went there a couple years ago and it is beautiful. It is so close to the beautiful Washington DC. I spent new years in old Alexandria and it was a great place. Most things in Washington DC are open air so we can take our furbabies with us to most of the attractions, I hope. It will be great :) . It doesn't matter where it is I already have the money and soon as I know the official information I am making reservations :) |
I voted for Savannah, GA. I really don't have a reason why I voted there, except that its closer to me, and I have family there! But I really don't care where it is held at. I'm saving my money so when the time comes to make reservations I will be able to make them, so hubby and I will be there with Little Man and Tawny! I told hubby about it last night and he said he didn't care where it was either, but he is hoping for CA...lol...he said it would be nice to go back to his old stomping grounds and see what has become of it. We are going to make a vacation out of this! I'm really excited about this!!! I can't wait to see where we will be having the meet up for 2009!!! |
does anyone know how long the poll is remaining open? |
question -- is this thread going to decide the spot or will we have another poll if it's close between the top 2 or 3? |

I am off the research these cities and then I will vote:D |
i picked raleigh/ durham it seems like a nice place |
I was looking more at dogfriendly.com and realized that San Diego has a TON of restaurants that allow outdoor seating with your dog, many hotels that allow dogs, many campgrounds, and many off-leash dog parks and beaches. You all might go to DogFriendly.com® - Pet Travel Guides and City Guides for Dog/Pet Owners and check out all the cities on the list. I was just surprised at just how many places there were for you to take your dog in San Diego. |

I'm still so torn! Seattle is the furthest from me, but I could see my brother! Decisions, decisions! |
I voted for Savannah for several reasons, the most obvious one is that it is the closest to me! Second is we could go to Paula Deen's resturant perhaps! YUMMMMMM. And third, the Southern Hospitality! I have driven thru...but never stopped. It seems to be so beautiful there. I did some research and there are at least 5 dog friendly resturants! There is a park for pups and there is a dog friendly walking tour of old historic Savannah. gets my vote. I do have tons of family in Arlington but are of a different culture and dont believe animals belong in the house:rolleyes: It would be hard for me to go there. |
I voted for VA because that is the only state i would be able to get to. if its anywhere else i can't come. VA is 4 hours from me and not too bad of a drive. i'd definitely go if it was held there. so everyone vote for VA!!! |
Well, I voted for Portland Oregon.......mostly because I have a niece & her family that live there and also a nephew & his family. I was toying between that and Seattle......doesn't it rain there alot? Or is that Portland???? In any case whereever the meet up is I certainly plan and hope to be there! |
Well, I suppose I should pick Charleston since I'm from here and should consider myself "spoiled" to have one of the choices be my city, buttttttttt...what I really wanna pick is San Diego :p I'm torn!!!!!!! |
I voted virginia |
