Boys Only! How many of you keep Belly Bands on your boys all day long? Do you take them off at night time? Kibble keeps his dry but Rocky wets in his. I take them out almost every hour, but Rocky still wets in his wee wee wrap. |
Apollo never pottied or marked, he only goes outside or his pad !:D |
Joey wears his while he is in the house. If he is outside of course we take it off. If he's in his crate while we are gone, I take it off. At night he wears it because he sleeps with us. |
My boys giggle at boys who wear diapers. :D I'm kidding...mine have never worn them. No issues. |

Hot Rod doesn't wear them, never had an issue, fortunately. |
Max has never worn one, he doesnt mark (hes a yr and 5 months) lets hope it stays that way LOL I have heard that males that are used for breeding have a tendacy to mark, dont know how true it is though I could be wrong. |
I voted for only during the day but truth is Alphy wears them while I'm at work and then at night. For whatever reason he always seems to pp in the middle of the night because he's always soaked in the morning. When I'm home he's not in one because I have the ability to take him out when necessary. Murphy is in kitchen and uses the pp pads during the day and then at night he's crated. I don't use bands on him (yet). |

Reese is a year and half....and still doesn't mark. He goes outside...potties and he's done. No little tinkling everywhere....now his sister does. |

Same here i have 3 boy's & everyone only potties outside. |
What is the point in belly bands??? I read they were good for marking territory?? Riley doesn't actually mark. He just lifts his leg and acts like hes going to. HAHA!! Always on daddy's foot too. Its so funny.:p |

I would think the point would be....saving your furniture. |

Since Rocky had bred before, I think that's why he is marking and now that I have Kibble, he is telling Kibble, this is my spots, stay away! lol Kibble does pretty good, he has only had a few accidents. |

I voted that I don't use them, but occassionally I do. He is crated while I'm away and at night. The only time I use them is if he's out loose in the house and I know he'll be out for awhile and I won't be paying super close attention to him, since he has the habit of occassionally peeing in the floor if I'm not watching. I'd say I use them less than once a week... typically at night when he's out and I'm doing homework or something. |
Since I live in a carpeted rental house, Jamie wears his anytime he's on the floor (cause I don't want to take a chance with the carpet). He very rarely ever has an accident in it cause I take him out often. But he doesn't wear it in his crate or in the bed cause he won't potty in those places. |
I didn't vote because the only time Tucker wears a belly band is if we are having a lot of company over. He is housebroken, but when he people come over and he gets all excited he does the happy tinkle. I put him in a belly band for Megan's family birthday party and it was great. Everyone wanted to play with him and pet him and they didn't have to worry about him getting too excited. |
Brownie wears a bellyband anytime I am not in the room as he will mark. Scampers only wears one at bedtime to ensure he doesn't pee on something while I am sleeping. Most of the time his belly band stays dry. And Buster although he lifts his leg, he only does it on the pad and hasn't marked anything so he has not had to wear a belly band yet. |
Bernie lives in his! He's housetrained and doesn't spray but has some neurological damage that causes him to drip, drip, drip all day and all night. After his recent surgery he was without belly bands for a couple of weeks (ugh, clean up was constant), and so he resisted them when they first reentered the pic. But he looks so naked without them.:) |
Bengi has never wear a belly band. He doesn't need it at home. I might get one just for when we go visit somebody, just in case, and for my peace of mind. He doesn't mark, he was neutered at 6 months, so no problems. I'm pretty sure you're not gonna have problems with Kibble if you neuter him soon; Like you said, Rocky has that issue because he was bred; it's hard to get those habits away from the little studs!!! |
Brooklyn has never worn them. Thank god. |
Dumb Question.... what IS a belly band? No laughing allowed!! Just wanna know... |
Never had to use them, knock on wood. |

When I had Gizmo, he wore a belly band once he started marking, but only as a training tool. I probably had him wear it everyday for a month. If I caught him lifting his leg somewhere he'd get in trouble and I'd take off the belly band and show him the pee and say "no". I would check the belly band about every 2hrs or so and if there was pee on it, I'd show it to him and say "no". It was soiled less and less often as the weeks went by. After about a month, he never marked. He did really good after that. Epsilon is an amazing little boy and was sooo easy to train. I think he has peed in the house maybe a total of 10 times (from the first day I brought him home). He's seven months old and still hasn't marked (not nurtured yet). I'm very proud of him :D |
Mine Are Trained! :coolsmileThis is the first time I hear about belly wraps...My babies are house trained, thanks to PEE PADS, I dont have any problems with bed wetting or ruining furniture!! But of course, training, takes time!! :2hearts2:Mommy to :aimeeyorkNygee, :aimeeyorkGizmo & :aimeeyorkGypsy!!!:2hearts2: |
Jack pees all over the place, but I don't have the heart to make him wear belly bands. I wouldn't want to go in a diaper either. However, if my wife knew about them, he'd probably be wearing them now. Shhhh. |
Truth be told, Beau never has had a problem with peeing but I'm thinking about getting diapers for Lexie. She is PRETTY good at our house, but if I bring her to my boyfriend's parent's house I don't let her little feet touch the floor because I wouldn't want her to pee on their carpet! That would probably strain our relationship being his mom vacuums like 100 times a day! I figure she wears her little clothes over there, a diaper will just be like putting her pants on! Ha ha ha. Does anyone else do this? |

Max has never marked, but once Madison got here and started marking EVERYWHERE in the house (and on the patio too)...Max started to lift his leg. Luckily, I usually caught him and told him "NO"..and back down went the leg. He knows better, but it's such a temptation, LOL. Luckily, as time has gone on, Madison doesn't mark nearly as much as he did at first, and I'm praying that once he's neutered, he'll stop pretty much at least inside:confused:. We'll see! I keep the band on just during the day (he doesn't get up during the night much), and actually, if he's just lying around next to me during the day, I'll just leave it off. They run in and out so often (so many things to protect the house from;)), and I take Madison's off when he goes out (at least I TRY...those pantiliners can get expensive when you go thru 20 a day:p). I change the pads if they get wet; I don't like to think of the pee or the smell on his hair or his body for very long. |

As of right now Reeses doesnt wear belly bands but when I go home for the summer I will have to get one b/c my mother has in house plants and he doesnt know he cant pee on those plants! Lol. I bought him one from a pet store but it was the scrunchie elastic blue jean lookin ones and I think it squeezed him b/c he didnt like it and acted like it hurt him so he def needs one of the flat lookin ones that some YTers make custom made just for him!! |
