YT Meetup Poll for NY/NJ Hey guys. Please vote which borough you would like to meet up in NY from the thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=123554 |
I put Manhattan, I live in NJ and of course would love for it to be there, but I do realize that this is not about me, rather what would be the most central for everyone. The place on the upper east side looked really nice, and the fact that they had a pub across the street was an extra plus. |
I too voted Manhattan. I live i queens but I liked sarah's idea as well:) |
I voted Manhattan as well:) |
My choices are either brooklyn staten island or queens. |
my choices are either brooklyn, queens or manhattan :) |
My choices are either Manhattan or Jersey (preferably somewhat Central NJ). I'd have to talk to my mom about it, but either of those could probably work for us. |
I would LOVE to do it in Jersey, but seeing that most people are from new york, i can do manhatten. thank god for the ferry and the bus! |
I will do Queens, Manhattan or Brooklyn. LOL choose a day when its not too cold!!! |
Preferably a location that is easy to drive to with affordable parking. Otherwise somewhere really close to a subway stop. |
I voted for NJ...since I mentioned "Hoboken" (It's right outside of MAnhatten) in the thread and no one responded to it, I'll add that there's great big area by the water and there's lots of grass to lay on. People watch, MANY dog friendly restuarants, and great clean air! I'll try to find pics and post them later. **Forgot to add,, EASY Public transportation AND MANY Parking spaces!!! |

I'm a little late to this thread- haven't been around YT much lately- but I live in NY too and my MIckey and Mallory LOVE yorkie meetups so our gang is definitely in!!! I live in queens but I am fine traveling pretty much anywhere- Manhattan, Jersey... whatever! Carl Shurz dog run is a good idea! I used to take Mickey there. There is also the dog run in the East Village in Tompkins Square Park. They usually have a very big dog run but it is undergoing renovation so they have a smaller temporary run up- i think its about the same size as the run at Carl Shurz- this may be easier for Brooklyn people to get to. Wherever we end up picking I Can't wait!!! :animal36 :D |
I wanna be included too! I was going to suggest me hosting a YT meetup at my house b/c we live on an acre and the backyard is fenced in. We have a neat backyard for Yorkie explorers. Here's the only downfall. I live on the South Shore of Eastern Long Island, so I am not sure how many ppl want to make that drive, but the offer is there if you want.... Regardless, you can count me in for the meetup :D |
I voted for Manhattan because its seems easier for most of yt members. There are also people who will be coming from Long Island as well and I think that NJ would be too far away. Thats why I believe Manhattan will be the perfect middle.:) |

i live on long island, nassau county, but i guess the closest for me would be queens |
I'd love to meet other YT'ers and I know my Yorkie would love to play with other dogs as well. Depending on what location you pick then I will see if I can make it. |
I will do anywhere with lots of parking space .... But if everyone prefers the city does someone want to take the train with me from Queens. :D |
anywhere in New York or New Jersey is fine with me:yorkietal :coolsmile :cheer: :callme: :idontknow :yay_jump: :mademyday :welcome4: ooouuu yeaahh....how's about a glass of wine:friendsh:  there are some dog friendly bars in Manhattan (I live in Jersey) Tina Pucci Gigi |

I prefer Brooklyn, Queens or Staten Island but I can pretty much drive anywhere. :D I even like the idea of Long Island of Jersey because those areas are just so less crowded. I don't want to wait until June lolol What about doing the first one in May? May should definitely be warm enough and also very less humid. :D We can do one in June too -- I just don't want to wait that long to meet you all lol :D |
uh Oh the polls are tied up b/w manhattan and jersey... I cant make it to Jersey :( |

How come you can't make it to New Jersey? If we meet in NJ I can give you a lift. I'm in flushing so not too far from Jackson Heights. |
Hey poosdarling, I do not drive so I would have to take NJ Transit which I have nvr done. I dont know my way around jersey at all, LOL! Thats why i am worried. I could manage anywhere else but Jersey... And thanks so much for the offer! I think about it if they do do it in jersey, dont wanna inconvinience you! |

There are a couple of dog parks in Queens but I have never been to any of them. For a list of dog parks in NYC you can go to urbanhound - the city dog's ultimate survival guide - health advice, walkers, sitters, day care, local dog events, message boards and a canine community and they are all there! |
I would have to vote Manhattan:) |

I live in queens but Manhattan we have Central Park which is huge and i think would be a great place that everyone can commute to! |
