Mollie gets bathed every 6-8 months and Duncan every 3-6 months bathing too often destroys the oils in Mollies coat and we wash Duncans bit's and pieces when they need it but again we don't like to destroy the oils in the coat. A thorough brush a couple of times a day keeps them both clean. |
I bathe Toto every time she needs it ... 2-3 times a week if necessary but usually once a week is enough. I freshen her with leave-in conditioner when I brush her and it also helps the hair not to break! I also use the little bath wipes. |
Reagan usually gets a bath twice a week in our bath tub. I'm jealous of all those who get off with once a week let alone once every two weeks. Reagan loves the mud and since our back yard is a swamp right now everytime she comes back inside she's filthy. My husband is working on the backyard so maybe he'll get it cleared up pretty soon, fingers are crossed. Then maybe Reagan will become a once a weeker. |
Bath time The males get a bath every three to 4 days- cut down or in coat. The gals get a bath once a week. I try to set up a schedule so that everyone has the baths done during the week- so that I can have the weekend off. I use my laundry tub- it is easier on my back and they can't escape. It would be much easier if I could just use the delicate cycle on the wash machine. Wnalegria |
As we live in the Canary Islands its so hot here at the moment and Rambo loves to swim in the sea and in his paddling pool all the time to keep cool. I like to bath him every week on a sunday i stand him in his paddling pool and use the garden hose to rinse him he loves it. then i wrap him in his towel, to dry him (he hates the hairdryer plus its too hot to use one here) and he makes funny noises as i help to dry him. then he has a shake and goes to his favourite rug lies on his back and makes cute noises again!!!! I bath my two yorkies once a week , But I try and stretch and add a few days here and there, I think to many baths drys out the coat. I use the sink, That way I can use the sink sprayer on them , they like it better. I bath My Boxer and pitt Bull every few months, I use to do them more often , But they are so big and its hard on my back. B/C I have to use the tub for them. |
I need an option for "When they stink" I used to do it every sunday, then I realized she could go a few more days. So now I don't really keep track, when she looks raggedy and gets stinky I throw her in the sink. But definately not more than 2 weeks go by. |

I bathe Trixie about once a week. Is there a difference between how many times you should bathe an adult yorkie vs. a puppy? I read in a book you should bathe a puppy once every two months. But she smells after a week and a half... |
Bentley's "Bath day" is sunday...however if he gets gross through out the week he will get an additional one! |
With how much Deegan loves to dig in the dirt, I kinda have to bathe him at least once a week. Not really sure how it will be in the winter though, since he won't be out as much. |

I used to bathe Max once a week but he has dry skin so I do it every other week but I do wash his face often. About every three days I take a wash clothe and wash around his nose, under his eyes and his forehead... it keeps him looking non-greasy :) |

Weekly here! I sleep with my babies so they have to be clean LOL I love it right after a bath!!! Every human in this house has to take a moment and love on the furbabies after a bath an smell how pretty they smell LOL |
weekly ! Yes once a week , maybe 2 time if it rains and they get in the mud. In the winter, if we r in ILL every 2 week, it's just too cold , but in Fl every week. I brush them every day or every other day, with leave in cond and they have a wipe down every night , cause they sleep with me in bed. I use a hairdryer and they both hate it, I use it on low , I also dry them with a warm towel right out of the dryer and sit with them each for at least 10 or 15 min before I dry their hair, just time bonding with mommy Lol. George gets a bath every 8 days or so, or when he needs it as he sleeps with us so if he has an accident its when needed but it's been freezing here so he hasn't had a bath for 9 days now, just wipes and flannel washes(YUK smelly thing) no really he smells beautiful |
Sophie gets a bath every week. We use wipes in between, and have to wipe/clean her paws every time she goes out right now because of the rain! Looking forward to a nice, dry weekend! Yay!!!! |
