Nancy won last week's contest, but she's busy and turned over the posting honor to me.

This is from our little-dog meetup last weekend. Huckleberry is the one in the middle who appears to be whispering. Hannah is the listener. Winter is in the background. I'm dying to know what was going on!

Huckleberry: Hey Hannah, don't tell Winter but I need to tell you a little secret. I am going to pee on momma's floor and frame Winter for it!! So sssshhhhhhhhhh! Don't tell!!

Winter: Hey, what are you two talking about there? Are you talking about me?? This isn't nice. I am telling!! MOM!!!!!!!

LOL, poor Winter!

Hannah: "let's play Twilight! My name is Bella. Huckleberry, you are a 100 year old vampire. Winter, you are a werewolf. You are both in love with me, and I can't choose between you."

Huckleberry: "this is a dumb game."

Winter: "just bite her on the neck and get it over with."

Hannah: "Oooooh, should I be a vampire's bride? Or a weredog? I can't decide. Winter, you come and kiss me now. Hey, where are you two going? Come back here. Hey. HEY! Argh, stupid boys."

A brilliant start to the caption contest! I can see the increased intelligence since your promotion.

And just to give the rest of you something else to go with -- Huckleberry was the new guy to the meetup, and girls Hannah and Winter harassed him nonstop for much of the meetup. He acquitted himself nicely, though.

Huckleberry: meet me at the fire hydrogen in 10 minutes, she doesn't suspect a thing! :eek:

Ha ha ha! These are great! I was afraid I'd picked an uninspiring picture because we'd only had a few captions, but now it's taking off. These are hilarious. Keep 'em coming!

Hannah: I guess Eddie wasn't kidding when he said they were going on a vacation and Mike wanted to fit in with the locals.

I know it's early in the week, but I started a day early -- and if I don't get it posted now, I won't be able to do it until Monday.

The captions this week FAR EXCEEDED my expectations. There wasn't a clunker among them, and I pulled out 7 from 7 different people for my finalists list!

In the end, I wound up with a three-way tie for first among shelimcallister, Cha Cha and dawn27. I used a complicated tiebreaker system that only a man could devise, taking into account who has won most recently, who entered the most times on this thread and who has participated in the most caption contests.

Thanks to Nancy1999 for giving up your turn to me! If I ever win again, you get the honors!
