I am in central KS as well, located about 1 hour from Wichita! Here is my favorite sunset photo I got on July 5th last year, after a small storm had passed

Awww that's beautiful! There is a farm close by where I loved to go and take pictures of the windmill they had. Then, the KS wind finally took its toll and it broke apart.

Both of these are STUNNING. I especially like how you left just a hint of horizon in the first picture and let the clouds carry the picture. If it had been all clouds, it wouldn't have been as good of a shot. And more foreground might have diminished it too. Great composition. Love your sunsets.

I'm a day (weeks!) late to the party because I couldn't motivate myself to get a fresh sunset, but here are a few I found in my files.

The beach is St. Croix, Virgin Islands. The others are Denali National Park, Alaska.

Possible topics for next time: Shadows, wildlife. Or something that gets us back to Yorkies -- head tilt? Tongue shot? (We might have done tongues).

I LOVE that first one, it reminds me of the "footprints in the sand" poem! The rays are beautiful!
Wildlife is of my favorite to photograph, but I don't mind whatever!

Thanks! Funny you mention that because I was thinking of the same thing. In fact, I took a series of pictures of me making those footprints but I didn't like how they came out. I settled on the footprints in the sand idea.

Awesome! Do you do alot of photography? I am starting to do more sessions involving people, buy my love is nature!

I'm a lifelong amateur, but I took a number of classes back in college, and my interest returned with the ease of digital photography.

You need to take a trip up here! We've got some pretty cool wildlife I was hoping to steal an awesome shot of a wolf jmuedog got when she visited but can't find it. Here's one I got at Denali National Park.

I can't remember if we've done a wildlife theme yet here. I'd love to see yours.
