| I use PSE7 and I have been pretty happy with it once I learned the basics. I also use photoscape and find it free and very easy to use.

YT 500 Club Member | I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 and it's fantastic. You can find it (or any Elements version) for pretty cheap online. You can also try a free 30-day trial if you go to Adobe.com. It does take some space and memory on your computer, so don't try to put it on a slow computer (unless you have a lot of patience). I make all my own cards, do digital scrapbooking, photo editing, etc in Elements. I can't rave about it enough. Version 7.0 isn't a whole lot different from 5.0, from what I understand, except that 5.0 will be cheaper. You probably won't ever notice the difference if you are new to photo editing. The only thing that frustrates me with 5.0 is that you can't create a text path; however, this is not included in 7.0 either (someone correct me if I'm wrong). But - have no fear. You can buy text paths (think swirls, cloud shapes, waves, etc) at online scrapbooking stores for really cheap (less than $2). PM me if you have more questions!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I love Paint Shop Pro 9, I had the previous versions, and they were all over 100 dollars. After Jasco made version 9 they sold the company to Corel, who now owns the name Paint Shop Pro, but you can still buy Paint shop pro 9, and the cheapest place is ebay, a new copy only costs $19.99. The Jasco brothers still have the rights to sell it, but make sure you buy a version compatable with your computer, there are different versions. JASC Paint Shop Pro 9 + Animation Shop 3 **NEW** - eBay (item 170438011015 end time Feb-02-10 20:44:05 PST). You can also download a copy, on various sites, but it's $69.00. The newer versions that Corel sell, are much more expensive, and some don't even come with animation shop, that the program that allows you to make gif files. Paint shop is more than just a photo editing program, it's a complete graphics program, but it does edit photos as well, and you can't beat it for the money.
