Our tap water is getting pretty yucky right about this time of the year so I put some salt in the tap water today and it sweetened its taste also. Salt is pretty handy stuff. |

Funny how salt can make something sweet. :) You know...I always thought water from the tap tasted the same everywhere. I found out different when I went to the mainland. I think Hawaii has the best water I ever tasted. Here are the best and worse.. Cities with the Best Water 1. Arlington, TX 2. Providence, RI 3. Fort Worth, TX 4. Charleston, SC 5. Boston, MA 6. Honolulu, HI 7. Austin, TX 8. Fairfax County, VA 9. St. Louis, MO 10. Minneapolis, MN Cities with the Worst Water 1. Pensacola, FL 2. Riverside, CA 3. Las Vegas, NV 4. Riverside County, CA 5. Reno, NV 6. Houston, TX 7. Omaha, NE 8. North Las Vegas, NV 9. San Diego, CA 10. Jacksonville, FL |

Orlando should be # 99 out of 100 worst  |
My sister lives in a small bedroom community southwest of Dallas and the water out of their tap is so good, so naturally sweet tasting. But it corrodes things. It turns things white after time like the shower doors and they have to use some chemical around their faucets and shower doors and things but that is the best water - love to drink her iced tea and coffee and just plain water. |
I use a keurig, because I have adhd and coffee really mellows me out. When I had a regular coffeemaker, I used to drink a half a pot, or a pot at a time, and it made my heart race. Using a keurig forces me to drink one cup at a time, so I drink less. I usually use green mountain-I have mocha nut (my unexpected favorite) hazel nut and pumpkin spice. I want to get some brew over ice flavors but can't find them in stores (i know you can get them online) |
I absolutely adore iced coffee anytime of the year! The combination of coffee, cream or milk and sugar is so good to me that it is truly one of life's luxuries to me. But I use so much sugar I can only have it a very few times a year! I mean I'd usually rather spend all those calories on eating something like a banana split or ice cream soda rather than drinking my calories. I only drink coffee normally at breakfast unless after dinner with dessert or something when dining out. Keurig looks soooo convenient. |
Ive found that 1 packet of splenda is the equivalent of like 5 tablespoons of sugar in regards to sweetening my coffee. I'm not big on artificial sugar, but prefer it for coffee just because it takes too much sugar to sweeten it up. |
GTK. Going to try it again. Had it before long ago. Thanks! |
Have any of you tried ca phe sua da? Viet coffee? Vietnamese iced coffee - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It's the strongest coffee I've ever had, and you sweeten it with condensed milk. The viet/american way is using Cafe du Monde from New Orleans (you know the French connection). It's too strong for me. I'm not a coffee drinker at all I have had salted caramel coffee at a Chinese tea shop. the most popular right now is 85C bakery. They opened up two locations in CA, but are originally from Taiwan. There are hour long lines out the door all day and all night for their salted caramel coffee. Still haven't tried it though LOL, even though I go in that plaza nearly every Sunday. |
