I cut it 50/50. Seriously. I do the same with sour cream. I;m very surprised you haven't heard of this "trend". I've been cutting calories and adding flavor this way for years!

I even make homemade yogurt!!

Now that you mention it, I vaguely remember hearing/seeing this on like, Dr. Oz or something. I just haven't done it! LOL

Yogurt is VERY savory in every country/culture besides the USA :p

Mint is totally optional. A lot of people don't like mint in their food. It's not really supposed to be a taste ( and not, it's not supposed to taste like toothpaste LOL) it's more of a sensation/smell. Anyway, get the plain Fage, with cucumber, some garlic, salt and pepper. Eat it with gyro in pita bread. If you don't like gyro (or haven't had it) try some grilled chicken strips with tomato and onion, topped with tzaziki. Gyro is one of my fave sandwiches ever.

BRAISED PORK SHANKS. world. My son is away at college and my daughter is doing her own thing.:(:( THIs is a delicious,sumptuous 2fer.Next day it makes an awsome soup. Bones are perfect for the doggies.

50/50 on mayo, cream cheese, creme fraiche, what else? It's good for lots! :)

Yep, Indian and greek my faves. Also good for Persian and Thai (for cooling your tastebuds from all the heat!)

I adore Blue Cheese, I buy the 2lb wheels from Maytag Dairy Farms. Always have some in the fridge:)

I also love tripe - when I was growing up (although I haven't grown up yet <g>) mum always bought some at the open air market on a weekend. It was ready to eat. We just put vinegar (malt vinegar) in it.
I have bought it over here at Publix, cooked it and let it go cold then put malt vinegar on it - but it is never quite the same as what I had growing up.

I don't think I could do tripe on it's own.....it is very pungent! Blue cheese stinks too, I guess, but in a good way :D:D

I love Gyros! Did anyone ever eat limburger cheese? My dad said my nana used to eat it and it smells like stinky feet!

I'm great with shellfish.....ALL shellfish I believe (although some are too fishy)

I tried limburger. I spit it in the sink. I actually thought to myself "this must be what sh*t tastes like" :eek: :sidesplt:

I was unsure how to mail the kefir grains. I could bring them along....not sure about refrigeration tho...... a cooler??? :sidesplt:

me too! I have been known to open up a can of chickpeas and eat the whole thing over the course of an hour or so :D

edamame is sold in individual serving pacs too! I keep them in the freezer and whip one out for a snack!
