I add pepitas and sunflower seeds and cocoa covered almonds!!! Sometimes I add Cranberries or raisins as well. |
We usually go to a chinese seafood restaurant just like every other asian family LOL. Last year we did have a early dinner at my aunt's place, and we had the traditional Thanksgiving food, but also some chinese takeout. This year I think we are going to my cousin's new place. Don't know if they are cooking or what. However, last year my uncle made Alton Brown's mac and cheese and it was so good. I haven't had boxed mac and cheese since. |
Turkey Mashed potatoes with home made noodles on top stovetop stuffing (chicken flavor) rolls with honey and/or strawberry jam pumpkin pie bourbon pecan pie MY sweet potato casserole (actually it's Paula Deens ;) shhh) cranberry sauce |
Everything that Micah, my love mentioned, I second it. Can't do without that cornbread dressing. Some in our family really like chicken and dressing better than turkey but I guess just for tradition sake we always have turkey and ham on Thanksgiving and Chicken and dressing & ham on Christmas. Love chocolate pie and like pumpkin only if it has whip cream on it. Sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top too are a favorite. I think I just gained 10lbs. even thinking about it. Sugarmama's spiced nuts sound good too. Perfect to munch on while watching the Cowboys. |
DH always says he would rather have chicken & dressing and i always tell him that we do except on thanksgiving :D but my kids would be wondering about me if i didn't cook turkey lol they always look forward to it |
I saw a recipe today for a spicy~sweet cranberry salsa that I may have to try this year! |
Turkey Mashed potatoes & gravy Indian corn Some kind of jello salad Pumpkin pie and whipped cream Those are the "musts" the rest is just "fun" eating stuff! |
