BTW Thai food "can" be some of the hottest food I have even eaten  |
Yup. I would hate to see what there 10 is! I was dying on the snow flower on a 5. Next time I got a 3. Oh you know it might be called snow white or snow flower salad, I can't remember. |
i like adventurous foods. spices and seasonings that i've never had before and i like Hot foods too about a 5-8 depending on what is causing the heat. i'm not good with hot wing sauces but love horseradish and wassabi type of heat. i'm defin not a bland food girl. i was raised on home cooking but it always tasted really good. but since then i'm more in for things that i have never tried before and chef quality creations of all sorts. |
i was going off the scale at buffalo wild wings. i can make it to the mango habenero on the scale. but the blazin makes me instantly want to vomit. |
Absolutely really hot, sour food! I love to eat those small really spicy small green chillies! Thai food, Vietnamese, Indian, yam yam yam! |

I would say i'm a 7-8 when it comes to spicy. I don't like my foods hot. Room temp. is good for me. I don't understand how my hubby likes to burn his tongue while eating his food. lol:rolleyes: I love spices and herbs. They just bring a plethora of flavors to my mouth! |

Too me there is only one really really good food. That is mexican food! I LOVE it! I can eat it 7 days a week. I like it "warm" but not too hot. A little kick but not too much. Maybe a 6 or so myself! I am a creature of habit. No new adventures in the foods for me. :p |

This is a fun thread. I am not particularly adventurous with my food, but I did try rattlesnake once (it was pretty good until I started thinking, "I'm eating an animal that eats rodents". I've also tried conch, rather bland and VERY chewy. My food heat index would be a 6 or 7. I want my food so hot (from the stove) that I have to take small bites. I am crazy in love with black peppers, chunky salsa, and jalapenos. I didn't know that there was a sumac used for seasoning. The only sumac I know sent me to the emergency with hives and a closing windpipe.:D |
Maybe that's why I don't like my food piping hot, I like to inhale my food. :D I've burned my tastebuds and the roof of my mouth so many times, you'd think I'd learn. |

I'm sure the real explanation was a lot less embarrassing than what they were thinking! |

(strange....I did NOT quote all of those....a new feature, perhaps??) |
I have burned my tongue from trying to drink coffee that was to hot, now that leaves a very strange feeling |
I hate that feeling. Dead taste buds. I (try) to restrain myself from tasting when I am cooking......hasn't worked, but I keep trying ;) |
LOL i never taste while cooking |

I taste and re taste and season and add and add something else and...well you get the picture ;) I never make the same dish exactly the same twice. I like variety :D |

That is why I need all of the tasting. It's all experimentation ;) |
My tummy won't let me do very spicy but I do like spicy - just not numb my tastebud spicy. I will eat just about anything as long as it is not gross-looking. I can't do gross-looking things at all - weak stomach!!! Thankfully, I can even eat bland food as I don't have to have a food experience to still enjoy eating a meal. |

Same with me. Unfortunately when I'm cooking I often "taste" a meal's worth before I sit down at the table. |
