My Ahi is a big snob of food also. But boiled chicken or hamburger is her go to food. I just ate spam, rice, and filipino longanisa. Waiting for my jello to set so I can have that with some whip cream. :D |
I just had a HUGE Starbucks coffee.....yummm!!! |
Morning all! :D There was a breakfast recipe in yesterdays's newspaper...I've just made it for brunch and it was very delicious, so thought I'd share! :) Scottish leek, potato + bacon stovies with fried eggs. Serves 2 1 leek, washed and roughly chopped 1 large potato - baked 1 teaspoon creamed horseradish 4 slices 'streaky' bacon 2 eggs 1. Chop the bacon into pieces. Fry and set aside. Boil the leek in salted water until softened, then drain and chop. 2. Put the leek into a bowl. Chop up the potato and add that to the bowl too. Stir in the horseradish with a little butter. Season with salt and black pepper. 3. Now it's time to add the bacon, mix it all together and then pat into 2 thick pancake shapes. 4. Heat a little oil in a non-stick pan and fry the Stovies for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Serve with a fried egg on top of each one. Enjoy! :D |

a Whatchamacallit, Oh so yummy! |
Chicken noodle soup...mmmm...mmmmm...mmmmm good. |
Sugar overload with huge Mrs. Baird's Honey Bun and sweetened coffee with creamer. So good but now I'll have to eat healthy for a week to compensate! We've got a few days of forecast rainy weather coming so I guess I'm storing up good sensations against the coming clouds. But, as long as the weather isn't dangerous with thunderstorms, etc., I really do love the rain. It's lovely to just get your work done and then lie back and snooze/take it easy as it rains outside. Should be able to catch some more Upstairs-Downstairs and the last episode of Downtown Abbey over these next few days. |
Wooo hooo!!! :D Hope you enoy every minute of all of it!! I've just had a toasted tea cake with raspberry jam and vanilla ice cream on!!! :D x |

I had a little debbie cake. Im getting ready to have some celery with low fat peanut butter |
Picked up a container of chicken salad yesterday at the deli in the grocery story and made myself ANOTHER chicken salad sandwich on Oroweat Sandwich Thins today for lunch. Had that with 3 Bread and Butter pickle slices and Diet Coke. I cannot get enough of chicken salad sandwiches these last many months. WHAT is up with me??? And this batch has the sharpest mayonnaise flavor in it and huge wonderful chunks of white chicken meat and celery, apples, black olives and I don't know what all else. It is so good. But, jeez, it is like 300 calories for just the chicken salad portion and the sandwich thins are I think 90 or 100 calories so that's a bunch of cals for a meal for somebody my size. And I haven't looked but I know the mayo puts a lot of fat into the meal! |
Who cares?! I LOVE mayo!!!! Just make yourself tiny portions. I love chicken salad too. I just had a grilled chicken sandwich. It's from a food truck that opened up an actual brick and mortar place, and while I don't care for the rest of their food, this chicken sandwich is so good! It's breast meat, which I usually hate, but it's so soft and juicy, charred just the right amount, with the most interesting mayo type sauce. I can't put my finger on what it is, but it's so good, peppery, and the bread is so soft and slightly sweet. That really hit the spot bc this morning (actually I didn't get to eat until about 1:30pm) I only had two scrambled eggs with some white rice and korean roasted seaweed. Oh and a boring salad. |
Homemade pho. About to make fried rice and and prep Korean BBQ for tomorrow. Maybe I should take pictures :D |
Homemade pho? Omg! Yes pics please! We had kbbq the other night. Yummy! I had no ban chan tho. |
