I just had a bite of a pineapple to satisfy a sweet tooth craving. And before anyone congratulates me on a job well done...there wasn't anything else in the house so I didn't have a choice.:p |
That's me! Mostly I have to be "good" because there is just nothing bad in the house to eat! Right now I have those measly little Honey Buns right that I got the other day to eat occas. for breakfast but they are tiny, only 180 calories and hardly worth it. I also have the most of a Hershey bar, sugar and that is it as far as stuff that is bad for you! Oh, I do have some Dove Toffee pieces but got those in November and I think they are too told to eat and they are way out in the hobby room, anyway. But still, congrats on the pineapple. It is good for you. |
Had the same old Honey Bun this morning but this time had 1 1/2 with my morning coffee. Sooooo good. Now am already starving for lunch and it is a looong time away. I am still in that mood where I want something that tastes really special rather than healthy! :( |
Walked Teddy this morning for an hour and a half and just had a tasty mango!! Still need to finish my morning coffee lol |
I'm sorry to say I've already broken open a Diet Coke!!!! That is my morning snack and it is going to have to see me through till noon somehow. |

I'm ashamed to admit I had a bowl of fruit loops and a Dr Pepper for breakfast. |

Try making something with Oatmeal! I improvised an oatmeal "pancake" because I wanted to eat oatmeal in a different way, more like a finger food. Anyway, take 2 egg whites which are low in calories (17) and high in protein (3.5 grams) 1tsp. cinnamon (regulates blood sugar) 1 tbsp. ground flax seed (does lots of different stuff) and ½ cup oatmeal. I mix in a small food processor and add enough low-fat milk or water to make more like pancake batter. I also add 1 tablespoon of Splenda. I cook it in a preheated nonstick pan that has been brushed with a little butter. This really adds to the taste in my opinion. After placing batter in pan, I add a few blueberries, if I have them, and cook just like a pancake. This is less than 250 calories. I don’t add syrup, because I like it this way, and it’s great with my coffee. Lots of recipes for healthy oatmeal cookies that you make with applesauce, egg whites and splenda. Oatmeal doesn’t have to be eaten in a bowl. The absolute best about this meal, is that it gives me plenty of energy and I don’t feel hungry till the next meal. |
