No, you are not weird. I have limited experience with food and I'm not adventurous with trying new things. The texture of brains I'm pretty sure would not appeal to me.

It looks like any other meat when it's cooked. My brother jokesthat real Mexican places are like baskin robin's, they have 31 flavors of meat! :p

It's cereal time for me. :)

Do they all taste like chicken? Hahaha. That is what people always say about non-typical meats.

My sister-in-law is from Mexico and at one of my nephew's huge birthday parties, her friends built a BBQ-like huge pan in which they mixed some ridiculous number of meats. It was like Mexican bouillabaisse. Maybe I have had brains and didn't know it.

I used to eat fish brains when we would always have whole fish for dinner. It has so much flavor in it, like eating bone marrow. I have not had sesos, but it is deep fried, so it's not going to be kind of gelatinous like fish brains or bone marrow. One of the most enjoyable aspects of food for me is the texture contrast in each dish. Soft with crunchy, it's like another layer of flavor but in texture. :)

First meal I shared with bf a taco salad :rolleyes: and a guacamole bacon burger from Fuddruckers. I took out the cheese and bacon, and no dressing on the salad except guacamole and a bit of sour cream.

2nd I had a chicago dog from Sonic.

I did not do well today. May be sushi night tonight to make up for it. :(

My hubby is a fisherman and diver. My whole family loves shellfish...and they only like to eat shrimp scampi when I cook it. Go figure. LOL
