Had a miserable afternoon with my tummy yesterday and all last night. 14 hours with no food and I went to Albertson's this morning for just-made donuts fresh from their nice bakery ladies!!! It was still dark when I got back home and the neighbors only beginning to stir! Not the smartest thing to eat on an iffy, unhappy tummy but I came home made coffee and ate a donut for breakfast. What a way to break a fast. Now, if I can just keep it down!

NO!!!!! :eek: What you need, Jeanie, is some Andrews Liver Salts (!!!) which cures all ailments know to mankind....and a bacon + fried egg butty!!! ;) :)

We've just had pork, mozzarella + pepper burgers with wedgies and dips :) x

All kidding aside, what in the world is Andres Liver Salts? I mean, is it granules one stirs in water or pills and is it as wretched as it sounds? Liver Salts?

Hee hee!!! :D We know what WE'D have....:D

Andrews Liver Salts - well, it's an effervescent powder that apparently refreshes and revives the digestive system. It's a plastic pot of powder, and you stir a teaspoon of the stuff into cold water, it fizzes up and you drink it while it's still fizzing.....it's a real 'cure-all'!!! :D How very British, and extremely old-fashioned! I must admit though - it really does work! :)

Oh, and we've just had some hot chocolate - well, it IS nearly bed-time! x

Sounds like our Alka-Seltzer maybe. I should have some of that around - I remember it did help tummy troubles!

Yep, we have that too....but Andrew's is more kind of 'basic' though, it gets to the root of the problem (1 tsp for problems in the digestive system - 2 tsp for constipation etc. etc. :eek: :D) the list is endless..... It's VERY Dickensian....I love it hee hee! :D x

Uh-Oh, Dickensian tells me all I need to know!!!! Yeah, I think our Alka-Seltzer is a little less interactive than Andrew's and mostly works on the tummy.
