We are having...

Herbed Roasted turkey
Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes
Greenbean Cass.
glazed carrots
Roll
Apple pie, pumpkin pie and Thanksgiving Cupcakes :)
And Bake Brie w/ dried cranberries, apple and carmel ( My 12 year old's Favorite)

Brined Turkey (for Tony)
Crab legs (for me :))
Garlic Mashed potatoes (omg, the best)
Lemon pepper popovers
Sauteed Marsala mushrooms
Chocolate Lava Cakes (individual)

The popovers are super easy, do you want the recipe...or are you all set? They're yummy, bread-y thingys (great texture) that we like to do instead of a roll. They look like this: http://judicialpeach.files.wordpress...1/img_1274.jpg

The lava cakes you make in little ramekins and, oh my :p. The outside of the individual cake is more cakey, and then the inside is still rather liquidy. Oh heaven! That recipe is easy too...

Heck yeah I want the recipes! Don't need them for Thanksgiving though, so take your time.

My DIL is bringing:
-Turkey-Cornbread Dressing
-Pumkin Trifle Dessert
Mom is bringing:
-Tropical Pistachio Whip (great light dessert -- I don't know official name -- we call it Mom's dessert, cause she always brings it by request)
-Cranberry SauceI am sure she'll bring other things, se always brings more than she originlaly plans. :)

Me: (looks like a LOT of Carbs for me!)
-Mashed Potatoes & Gravy
-Sweet Potatoes
-Mac & Cheese-Corn casserole
-Peas-Asparagus
-Peas
-Pumpkin Pie
-Thinking about a small ham as at least one does not care for turkey.

We always have a TON of leftovers and say we aren't going to make so much the next year but we still do. It is sot of nice though. I stock up on Glad containers and everyone gets to take enough home not to cook til the following week (or until sick of turkey whichever comes first).

I'm the host this year so my menu is all fall colors...which are...

Roasted Turkey (stuffed) - Brown
Honey Cut Ham - Brown
Dressing - Brown
Mashed potatoes - Cream
Sweet potatoes - Orange
Green bean casserole - Green
Corn on the cob - Yellow
Cranberry sauce - Red
Giblet gravy - cream
Sweet Dinner rolls

Pumpkin pie
Chocolate pudding pie
Pecan pie

All from scratch but the Cranberry sauce (from a can) shhhh:D

Marge has already started baking pies. We will have around 18 or so family.

Turkey (Everyone likes it but me)
Honey Baked Spiral Ham (I like that)
Lasagna and Sausage (That I love)
Sweet Potato
Mashed Potato
Homemade Cranberry something
Several types of Veggies
Several Cassarole types Bean, etc
Salad
Appetizers
Enough Desserts to put 5 pounds on you! Cheese Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Brownies, Cookies, Jello, etc. All Homemade.

Now I am hungry

The best part of the day, watching basketball and taking a Nap!

LOL were going out to eat. I usually cook but My Husband wants me to take a break this year which is fine with me because I cook for everyone on Christmas too. My Husband never shops but he is going shopping with me on Black Friday so well be tired enough from that and bringing out the Christmas decorations this weekend. Everyones Thanksgiving dinners sound yummy though

-Chicken Tikka Masala (we are Indian-dot not feather;))
-Garlic Naan Bread (store bought)
-Garlic Mashed Potatoes
-Creamed Corn Bread
-Spinach & Feta Spanikopita
-Spinach Dip (we love Spinach-can you tell:))
-Turkey Sausage/Brioche/Sage Stuffing
-Costco's Pumpkin Cheesecake (CANNOT WAIT FOR IT!!!:))

Yaaaaaa whooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

Happy THANKSGIVING!!!

For Garlic Mashed Potatoes, do you just add garlic to regular mashed potatoes? It sounds good to me but I am afraid if I ruin them, there will be trouble. :D The men in my family are all potato men except my middle son and he is a Mac & Cheese fiend -- that is why I am making it, in addition to the potatoes.

My favorite mashed potatoes are called Gouda Potatoes -- sort of lumpy mashed potatoes with skins left in, and lots of gouda cheese -- they are soooooo good. Why am I not making those? I think Ifigured too many extra calories with all the carbs I am making.

I have never made the corn casserole before, hope it turns out okay! My DIL makes it very well!

Wow, I'm so on board with this menu. I *love* garlic naan bread! They have it at Walmart groceries, and it's pure de-lish. I don't even bake it - just micro it for 2mins and then devour. I also love spanikopitas! And spinach dip! And garlic mash! Food is awesome, and that is all.

These are so easy, seriously. And we make them every year for the last 3 years. They are not overwhelmingly garlic-y at all, they're just right. I'm at work right now, but will post our recipe this afternoon. For this recipe, btw, (for 4 srvgs) - you'd need 2 oz. Romano cheese, garlic (you roast the whole head...easy), butter....and I think that's it (besides the potatoes, of course).
