Help me come up with a name 2 Attachment(s) ....for my new catfish. He is the final addition to my large tank. So in this tank I have Bruce a 12 inch Oscar and I have an unnamed albino plecostomus (suck-y type fish) and a large channel catfish that needs a name. SO any suggestions for a name for my pleco and catfish? I cant come up with anythign and thought it would be fun to try posting on here. I dont know if this helps but we (me and my friends that works with me) like to talk to the fish in british accents so if we could come up with a name that sounds good when said in an accent that would be great! lol ( I know I'm goofy) In the picture below the pleco is hiding in the divers helmet so I couldnt get a very good picture. I have had him for about a year now :) I know the tank doesnt look very pretty but that's Bruce's fault. I had all sorts of pretty rocks and plants but he likes to rearrange the tank so I had to take them all out and just leave a few rocks. |
How about "Simon" LOL (cowell) American Idol |

trying to think of old British names, all I can think of is Reginold. And I'm not sure why I even thought of that...Now I keep imagining a guy in a tux with glasses saying "Cherio Reginold." I think it's time to leave work...:p |

How about Louie |
My friends catfish was called Kitty. I'm not sure which breed of catfish it is but one breed actually can put it's head out of water and making a purring noise like a cat. I think I might go find out which it is... |
How about Monty? Like Monty Python? - I was trying to think of a Brittish charactor that has a moustache like the whiskers on the catfish. I couldn't help it but I kept on thinking Inspector Clouseau! |
Jack said what about these names Charles ( pronounced Chals) or how about William :) Will ask my daughter in love she is from England. Patti |
What's with the picking on the English!?!?!? lol It's not our fault we have stupid names! |
We're not picking on English names or the people of Great Brittan... Without you folks we would have Yorkies! So we are HONORING you by naming the catfish an English name! |

Everytime me and my ex got a kitten we called him Dave till we thought of a better name. Dave is a great name! :D |
My daughter always called her fishes Lloyd. We had Lloyd I and Lloyd II, and Lloyd III, and then Lloyd of Lloyds ! A little silly, but it meant something to us. ;) |
I think BB short for Big Blue. I named my sucky type fish Peco Pete.:) |

Here's how bored I am this morning...LOL I found a British Name Generator..LOL it gave the names Gareth Canvedish for the catfish and Terrance Pelham for the pelco..LOL I personally like the name Oliver and Harry Potter, I love how both of those names sound with an english accent. Be sure you let us know what you choose :D |
I think KITTY is the perfect name for a cat fish...herrrree kitty kitty kitty hehehe.. Dawn |
I would suggest naming the channel catfish like the perfume. Simon is a cute name for the other fish. |
I think Simon is really cute! What about Oscar, Harry, Gladstone, Monty, Winston, Abbott, Albert - I think all of those would sound so cute in a British accent! :p (I have been saying them outloud LOL) :D |
