who has a pug?

My friend got a Pug a couple of weeks ago from some guy whos we think abused him. He breathes really loud though, so I was wondering if he has asthma or if all pugs breather like that. She's taking him to the vet this week anyway to get him checked out

Yes, that's how they breath. They have flat noses which causes that to
happen. They are a wonderful, kind, loving breed and great with children.
Good luck to your friend. I hope he checks out good at his vet visit.

oh great we were worried that there was something wrong with him:P originally, my family was supposed to take him, but then she convinced her family to let her keep him. I guess it's better because this means I can get another baby in may for my birthday

edit: oh yea, and are all of them white in the face like that? we were told that he is 2, but we're not so sure..

My lexie is fawn color and her black mask is graying like that as well. She's 8 yrs olds, but it started a long time ago

My husband had a pug back when we were dating. You could always hear her breathing, and it always seemed she had a runny nose. Sweet dog, but I used to feel sorry for her since she seemed to have a hard time breathing.

Just spotted his picture. What a cute dog; I love his coloring. Bandit, my hubby's old dog, was fawn colored also. (She passed away of old age 10 years ago)

you tickle me girl, that is all they are worth. Lucy is a fartin machine. She has gotten so fat since she was spayed she can hardly breathe.

ha ha , she sits with me every night on the couch and my husband REFUSES to let her sit with her butt facing him. He has a FIT ! She lets some LOUD smelly noices, LOL. It just freaks him out

lucy has been put on a diet. i can't break my husband from his habit of table scraps. he feels sorry for them especially lucy since she is hiss dog. but he knows now he has to stop or Lucy will die. She can hardly breathe.
