TESSA as a Baby and wow - the memories 4 Attachment(s) I Found this picture of Tessa from TEN TEARS AGO ! she was such a little peanut :( :( :( 1st pic is the day we brought her home....then a few pics I found thru the years - I can't believe how fast time has flown ....A couple are Lady - my husbands cocker and my 1st love - she was an awesome cocker girl. The ones of ME in the red dress was my WEDDING day lol - I DID wear red :p :p and Tessa and Lady (RIP Lady) were a big part of it....this is BEFORE Yorkies - but man is my baby SPOILED ! I still carry her when I can and she is still hand fed all these years due to a really bad overbite and excuse how white I look - I had to lighten these up a ton - she's such an ink spot 1 - Tessa as an itty bitty baby - man I want to cry looking at this shot - she was SO tiny ! 2 This is how she loves to be carried - she hugs my neck and hangs on 3 Mom made us LEGAL TODAY ! 4 LET me kiss you mom...I love being a legitiment child now that you married my dad |
1 Attachment(s) and THE BATH shot - these guys are SO good when you bath them - all I do is wrap them up and they'd sit till they were dry like this - it was SO cute I must have 100 pictures of them in towels - all these were BEFORE DIGITAL and so you can just guess what my photo costs were back then :) sniff...I'm so sentimental today - must be the holidays..... |

I didn't know you had another dog!! She is so gorgeous!! How old is Tessa now?? I love cockers, they are my first love and I will always have a cocker. My whole family grew up having cockers. Right now I have a black and tan cocker, Peppi. I want to get another one so bad, a parti or buff one. I don't have any baby pictures of Peppi, I didn't have a camera. I really wish I did, I wish I had pictures of her as a pup. But I made up for it because I take several pictures of her, she was even in my senior pictures. I love my yorkies and maltese but Peppi is my number one baby. She is 8 almost 9 years old. Great pictures, you need to show us pictures of her more often!! |

Tessa is my favorite cocker. Specially when she does the rug. I have a question? Howcome she has much longer bangs than the other two? Do cockers have different coats. I have seen other this way also.:rolleyes: |

The only thing I don't like about black cockers is that you can't see their face too well in pictures. I have even got professional pictures done of Peppi and you still can't see her face very well. But you can see her eyebrows, they are tan and if it weren't for them you wouldn't see her eyes at all in pictures. Tessa is so gorgeous!! I just love cockers!! I know what you mean by it gets harder to hold them. Peppi is only 26 pounds but that is still alot bigger than what she use to be years ago. Here is a picture of Peppi and you can see her face only because of the tan points. |
2 Attachment(s) you said it Tracey - They look like INK SPOTS on camera ! lol and Ceaser - yes they can have different coats but I used to keep her longer till I got tired of keeping up with the hair especially since getting the yorkie girls - Here's a shot with Lady and Tessa in the same cut - you can see the coat is pretty identical - this is making me SO sentimental :( We lost Lady just a few weeks after these pictures....The 2nd picture sleeping with her little buddy (Chanel) was when she first started in Renal Failure :( |

OMG V! what beautiful babies!! My very first dog I bought on my own was a blonde cocker...Her name was Nellie...they are the cutest puppies! about 3 yrs after we got Nellie I bought another..(I was going to breed) He was a little black cocker...He looked just like yours! He was sick...we had to have him put down when he was just 10 months old...it broked my heart...I just love cocker spaniels....they can be a little tempermental though...I found my female wasn't very good with little kids...And....you look great! My husband looked at your pics and said you were very pretty and looked like Dolly Parton! I think it's cause of the second pic with the blue shirt LOL! |

I've heard cockers could be a bit tempermental but I have to say - the 3 I had/have are AWESOME girls - never a bit of drama and always sweet as can be. Tessa really is a love - she's fantastic with everyone.... I used to take her to work with me all the time ....she'd make her rounds of the whole company and show off her High-5 Kissing trick - then she'd hang out with me at my desk... The girls adore her - they tag team her all the time and she makes them SQUEAL with happiness when she plays with them |

Just have to ask, do you think most cockers are snappy?? Everytime I go somewhere with Peppi, people just love her, she has a great personality, loves everyone even kids. She has a routine she does everytime she meets someone. She is all wags and wiggles and kisses and then real quick she flops down and rolls over waiting for a belly rub. She does it so fast and automatic, it is hilarious to watch. But after they meet her they always comment that they are suprised that she is so sweet and friendly because most cockers are snappy. I have never thought of them like this, but I have gotten this same comment nearly a hundred times. :confused: |

but to answer your question - after THREE Cockers - They were never snappy - not once. They all had the best personalities and my only wish was they didn't have such ear problems. Other than that - even though Yorkies now have my heart....:) I'd have a houseful if I could - I think they're awesome dogs |
