Of the equine sort. 1 Attachment(s) There are many parts of me that I have yet to share here but this past week has brought on some new avenues and I thought that I would share the new member or our family. I jsut bought a new horse. Gonna be eating mac and cheese for awhile now (JK) but oh well. This big boy is gonna make us some money. I have shown horses all my life except for the past few years. I have wanted to get back into it but just have been lazy. SO I looked and looked and looked and finally found a GORGEOUS Fresian stallion that I am going to train to be a hunter/jumper and get my tush back into the show ring. Dad went and got him for me today. He just emailed me the pic that he took when he turned him loose for the first time in the pasture. Meet Cole Black as Night. Cole for short. He is a 4 year old Fresian stallion. |
3 Attachment(s) Here are some old pics that my dad finally sent me also from when I used to show. first pic is of me about 3 years ago on my horse Strike it Rich Nickel Plated Lady Zippin' Quick All were taken when I was practicing for differnt competitions. |

LOL!! Yes you will be eating mac and cheese for a while--I know how much those big black beauties cost! Good for you though--I think Friesians are the most beautiful horses on earth, and maybe someday I'll be able to buy one (I'd settle for a Friesian cross too). Congrats!! :) |
I love horses. That horse is so beautiful. I love them big. I had to sell my quarter horses because I couldn't afford to keep them anymore, and I was really sad. When we move to our new home in 4 years we'll have 5 acres, so it'll be back to the horses for me, and of course my other babies. Absolutely stunning horse. |
Wow! What a breautiful horse!!! I don't know much about horses, but I'd say you have a winner there! Your dad is so sweet to you! I love his posts! When I was a girl, I wanted to learn to ride, but my mother thought it was "not feminine" so I didn't ever learn. Please send us more pictures of Cole! I'm going to look up Fresians on the web. |
1 Attachment(s) Oh Kelly, my sister will freak when I tell her this!! She is a horse fanatic. And all I heard about 2 summers ago was Fresians, Fresians, Fresians! She had just visited Kentucy Horse Park and had seen some there. Fresians are gorgeous. She bought a really nice print of a drawing of a Fresian. You would love it! I love my sister's horses. They're not registered or anything but I've never seen an ugly horse. I love them but I'm very allergic to them so I have to admire from a distance. Here's a pic of my sister with JoeJoe (I call him Shy Joe, he's soooo sweet!) and Star, the brown one. Star is a brat. Full of attitude but is a good boy when he wants to be. Both horses love my sister, she spoils and pampers them so much. |
1 Attachment(s) We raise Quarter Horses. I jumped my horse some but I haven't shown in a couple of years. I'm waiting for my parents to have a great one for me to show. WE've had a lot of great ones, but i'm kinda scared of horses so it takes a horse i connect with and feel safe with. Here's a picture of our big black stud colt. He could be awesome if his additude doesn't get in the way. In this picture he's only like a week old. He's huge. Just for reference his mom is over 17 hands. |
WOW! I am sooo in awe by your pictures! Being a city girl, I haven't met many people who have horses! That horse is GEORGEOUS! And I am so impressed by those pictures of you jumping! It looks like it must feel amazing! WOW! Thanks for sharing! |
I went out and spent some time with Cole today. He is a sweetheart but definately all stallion. Has a little bit of an attitude and I had to give him a reality check about who was boss. After that he came around and was a really good boy. I love watching him run he is gorgeous. :) :) |
Hes Gorgeous! |
thank you |

Wow. That sure is a Great horse. he is gorgeous. I love black horses. :) |
You stallion is beautiful. I wish I could afford one. I can't even afford another yorkie..haha.. I ride as well. Well I haven't since I got Coco but I did, everyday for like 3 hours after work. I sponsored a horse since I couldn't afford to buy and take care of one. He is a beautiful quarter horse, named Beasley. I was working him for dressage. Not for shows, just for my learning, and his training. I miss him dearly. I loved just taking him out and galloping through the land. He is great. |
I enjoy going out on my dads land and riding. It helps to clear my head and its fun. I learned to ride a horse before I could walk. My dad used to rodeo. He doesnt anymore. Too hard on his body. Instead he took up racing cars. |
Wow. Thats horse is GORGEOUS! |
2 Attachment(s) From the picture you showed he looks like he has quite a bit of suspension, you may want to try a little dressage;) He is a great looking stud! I love fresians:) Attachng a pic of my second to last foal, at 3 wks and 5 mths old.I love the babies. She is a hanoverian. |
I love your new Fresian adquisition. I also have a passion for horses however I haven't had the sapce to own one. I am originally from Nicaragua ( Central America) and my uncle owns and breeds Andalusians I am sure you've seen these before they are lovely and when I travel overthere I get to ride. I go when possible almost every year.   |
Your horses are amazing.. They are so pretty.. I am not a huge fan of horses.. I got thrown off of one when i was 11 and since then i haven't been too comfortable with them.. They are beautiful animals though |

I have been looking for a hanoverian. I want a young one to train myself. My Thoroughbred mare, I trained myself. Got her as a weanling. I thought about dressage with Cole but I love hunter/jumpers and I know he will be great. I cant believe how expensive fresians are. I do think I am going to stud him out. In all the research that I have done there are VERY few fresians here in WI. I have already had people driving by stop and ask about him. In fact my dad is putting up a new pasture area out behind the dairy barn because he isn't too wild about people driving by and stopping to see Cole. He is a little worried about some one stealing him or worse getting bit by one of the dogs. |
omg i love black horses i love all horses !! good luck !! |

I am a warmblood person but I love all horses:) |
Yeah i rode him yesterday and did a few jumps with him. He needs work on lining up but he is a really nice mover. should get some really outstanding jumps out of him. I am thinking that I might pair him up with my thoroughbred mare. Ill see if I can get my dad to send me some pics of her. And of the rest of the bunch out at the house. |
I LOVE HORSES!!!!! i want a fresian soooooooooooooo badly they are so beautiful!! I hope my daughter truly gets into riding, hopefully she will fall in love with horses like me. We are still calling around to see about lessons for her but i will def. be talking to about her. |
Cole is beatiful and thick!!! How many hands is he? GORGEOUS!!!!! I had a bad horse back riding accident a few years back and am nervous about riding, now. But he sure is a looker!!! |
Cole is 16.2 hands. Hes a big boy. Very thick through the neck. Nice mover. I love riding him. He just flows so nicely when we ride. |
