Oooh what a great idea to make this forum! I want to introduce you all to Dozer, Bailey's big brother. Dozer is a dogue de bordeaux (aka French Mastiff - "Hooch" from the movie "Turner & Hooch") He's 17 months old and over half way to his ch. title. We show him as a hobby (since neither of us have time for full time showing) and hope to have his title before he turns 2. He's a big boy, weighs in currently at 138lbs and has another few months of growing. His sire was 167lbs and his dam 130lbs so we expect him to get a bit bigger. He has a 27 inch head and a 35 inch chest. But don't let his size fool ya! He loves everyone he meets and doesn't know the word 'stranger.' His breed was created as a guard dog and Dozer goes into 'guard dog' mode at night, which makes me feel safe when I'm home alone. Dozer is being bred at the end of the month to a ch. ddb female (hopefully if all goes as planned). I can't wait to see what they will produce! We plan on getting a female ddb, but not until we move. There's no room at our current house for another giant :D Here are a few pictures of him, he's my big boy. And I'm sure the biggest 'brother' on this site :p

First picture is my fav. puppy picture of him!

Second picture is what he does best, sleeping

Third picture is a close up

Fourth picture is his first medal from his first ever dog show! At 6 months old

And last picture is my favorite picture of him ever!

You're mighty handsome, but I just gotta say this, you have a bigger chest than I do! :p

Those puppy pictures are so cute. How do you afford to feed him? ANd you want another one? LOL! My husband has always talked about wanting a mastiff, but I think they eat as much as my husband does, so I told him no way!

LoL Yea, he eats a lot. I always joke to my fiance that he needs to get another job just to afford to feed Dozer :rolleyes: Yea, we're going to get another, I can't wait. Hopefully we'll be moving this year and once we move, it's on. I've already been in contact with some top ddb breeders to be put on waiting lists :D

Dozer IS a cute name to go along with that face! he's a cutie pie! I always wanted a french mastiff, but my mother would have a heart attack! :eek: she swears big dogs will turn on her lol

Is it me, or does he look like Don Rickles in that first picture where he's on his back! LOL Don Rickles wishes!! He looks like a big sweet baby in that picture. I love it when they share their bellies!

I looked at the album, and he looks like my FIL in one of those pictures!! I won't say which one... :D

HANDSOME BOY ! He is a star and he knows it - I love how gentle he sounds - you can really see it in his face too - he's beautiful !

Oh he is! Wouldn't hurt a fly... Except if that fly tried to break in while I was home alone :D He gets SUPER protective at night and when I'm home alone

Now THAT's the kind of backup a Yorkie needs out on the street. Great pictures. You couldn't have two dogs on a more opposite end of the canine world, but they look so comfortable together.

:eek: Dozer is gorgeous!!! He weighs more than I do! All the larger dogs that Toto has met don't like her .... they would like nothing better than to be picking her little "Angel Brat" fur out of their teeth!!! :) Dozer looks like a "gentle giant"! ;)

:eyetearss Isn't that the truth? We get the WEIRDEST looks when we're out together with them. People always comment about tiny & huge.

Kim, no he doesn't drool that much. My first thought when my fiance mentioned the breed was "Uh, didn't Hooch drool a lot?" Then after more research into the breed we found out that through selective breeding, breeders were breeding for a dry mouth. The only time he drools is when he's out running around (playing) and right after he's eating. We always have to wipe his mouth when he finishes eating.
