Hello,again! I am from Alabama...Thank you all so much for the information that was a positive feedback. I choose to ignore people that don't have anything better to do than be just plain rude. I'm probably going to get her spayed before she leaves because I really do not want her to be bred...sheis theerfect family dog and needs to have tons of attention and love. Do rescues get them spayed/neutured before leaving?

Yes. Your heart was in the right place when you rescued her. Sorry it didn't work out. Must break your heart. I have a rescue Pommie who is 10 mo. and weighs about 3 lbs. more than my Yorkies. It takes constant watching and training to make sure that he doesn't overwhelm the Yorkies. Good luck finding a forever home for him.

Yes, a reputable rescue will have the dog spayed or neutered prior to adopting him or her out. If the rescue does not spay or neuter then in my oppinion it is not a reputable rescue. PLEASE locate a good Weimeran rescue. They know the breed and will work with her and find her the perfect home. Elaine

LOL Well, my yorkies have luckily never cleaned up their own poop, but they sure do like to try to clean the litterbox! :eek: Yuck

That is a beautiful breed...but very energetic. They need TONS of exercise and attention. A friend of mine called me and asked if I thought this would be the dog for him....I said "No". He was recently divorced and worked long hours...some out of town. He got her anyway and it didn't go well at all. After replacing many items in his house...including the carpeting, he put her outside full time (which I disagree with). We ALL do things that don't work out. I hope you find her a wonderful home with someone who adores this breed and knows all that comes with it. Larger breed poop piles do seem HUGE after having Yorkies, don't they:eek:.

I know this was not meant as a joke, and maybe cuz its friday at 430 and Im ready to pack it in for a long weekend IM a little giddy, but when I read this I burst out laughing (and Im at work)!!! Too funny! :D

I'm just now seeing this thread, and it really does upset me. I'm not about being a negative person, but you were forewarned when you asked about weims before you got this puppy. Why did you ask a question if you chose not to listen to the answers?

And I was not the only one that made a comment that weims are too hyper (IMO) for yorkies, much less small children.

I'm sorry. I really hope you find a good home for your dog. I just wish, like others in this thread, that people would research breeds before they pick one :(

Best of luck to you finding a new home or rescue for your Weimer. We have a male Wiemer named Smokey, and our yorkies are too much for him! Lol! He dosen't know how to deal with them at times and its kind of funny to see the roles reversed.

I'm sorry you got that mixed up. I did not post anything about weims and boxers. I had this weimaraner before I even got yorkies and before I even knew about this website, so that WAS NOT me. We have decided to keep Pixie and we are beyond excited. We decided to get rid of all our yorkies except one. Me and my babies go out everyday to play with her and while the kids play for a little bit I play fetch and then I try to get her to play with the kids and teach her not to jump. She is doing exceptionally well! When my husband comes in after supper he takes her for a long walk. So she is getting alot more exercise now. We are getting her spayed next month. I'm not sure if that helps with calming them a bit but I have always heard it does. Thank you all for most of your replies.

I remember that thread. She was just asking if anyone had one because she already had a pup and wanted to see if everyone liked them like she did. (I could be wrong though)

You got "rid" of your yorkies except one???

im pretty sure she had planned on breeding (why she got the yorkies) but decided it was too much to handle... so shes finding new homes for all but one.
