A Surprise at the Barn
 
Lookie what we found this morning :) . This little one was born sometime in the wee early hours and somehow she slipped under the fence with our quarterhouse breeding stallion. Both Mom and Baby were in the paddock with GW and because of all the rain we have had the past couple of weeks, the paddock is a mud hole. The little one was laying down in the mud so we did what horse people do, we brought her in, gave her a bath in the tub and warmed her up before taking her back down to mommy. As soon as the weather warms up enough, Mom is going to get a good scrubbing, too.

Here she is all cleaned up and ready to go back to the barn and see Mommy. Boo the Boxer is incredible with ALL of our babies... large and small :)

Awww how facinating!! Being a city girl you dont get to see images like that that often!!! She came our precious!!! I bet Mommy was very proud and happy to see her baby all cleaned up!!!

What a wonderful surprise! Your stallion wasn't upset by the intruder in his paddock? The foal and the boxer are amazing.
Hope to see the paint growing up with her friends.

OMG I bet that was a surprize. I am so glad that your boys have helped you out so well, you should be proud of them and your new girl is beautiful, I love the pics of Boo kissing her :D

I also must say what a good sport your son is letting us all see him with his pants rolled up and all.:D

She sure is pretty when all clean!

We are building a barn with an apartment over it this spring.

My DH and DS are afraid that in a couple years when we build the house on the hill, I won't leave the barn!:rolleyes:

aawww Cindy what a surprise you got. I love the video that was pretty cool. I do beleive you are the first person that I to bring a horse baby in the house to give her a shower. To cool. Gotta love it.

Thanks for sharing. Now we do want to see pictures often to how she is growing.

She is gorgeous! I'd have her sleeping in my bed if she were at my house - along with 2 little dogs, 1- 65lb pitbull mix, 1 - 20lb cat and sometimes another 11 lb cat. "We're gonna need a bigger bed:D '. I love her markings:) . Can I come live at your house;) .

We used to raise minatures is she a mini she looks small? I loved going out to see what we would get from them raised them for 9 years the smallest we had was 15 inches.Beautiful.Our stud was very good with the newborns also but mom did a good job of chasing their butts down nailing them to stay away!

Congratulations! What a wonderful surprise to wake up to despite the mud. Can see you love other animals besides Yorkies.:D Exciting life you lead. She appears tiny compared to the ones I've seen except the minnies down the road. I'd love to live on a little farm with miniature horses, goats, maybe a lama, and anything else that caught my eye (providing I educated myself first).
