It's a Yorkie Thing Donating Member | Have you ever Bathed a CAT???? I had to give my sons' cat a bath to remove old flea dirt on her, Luckly NO FLEAS!! but I wasn't sure she'd like it. Shady is a five year old manx cat and has never had a bath. (I've never bathed a cat either) She did quite well really. Here's pics- I really LOVE the first one! GO AHEAD ~Laugh all you want ... she doesn't mind! And you thought Yorkies looked bad during a bath!!

| We had a cat (he passed away after 18 yrs in October!) and I would bath him every other month or so! I had him from the time he was 1 day old so he was sort of use to it, but really did not like it much. He had no front claws so there was never much of a fight. After he was bathed though, he would not come out the rest of the day until we all went to bed! I guess he figured he would show me! Loved the pictures by the way!!!

Senior Yorkie Talker | I had my cat for 21 yrs before he passed away. In all that time we never gave him a bath on purpose. But he did fall into a full bath once and got soaked. He was a house cat and took really good care of himself. I always thought it would be impossible to bath him anyways. He hated the water.

| Actually, yes I have! I really didn't think it was possible but I did it..... many times actually. Our two kittens came to us from the shelter with ringworm but we didn't know it for months. When we did see it, we had to start bathing them every 3 days with this antifungal shampoo - by this time they were pretty big. The trick though was that we had to shampoo each one and then put them in separate kennels to let the shampoo sit for a certain amount of time and then take them out and rinse them. They weren't real thrilled about it but we managed. They got better over time. I've heard some real horror stories about bathing cats though so I was not expecting a good outcome! Your's looks so funny wet!

| I gave my cat a bath when she was still a kitten (around 6 mo.), I got her from the SPCA so she kept sleeping in the liter box The first time was ok, since she didn't know what the heck was going on, but any time after that was a wrestling match trying to get her in the sink

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | I give my cat a bath every month or so. When i put him in the tub he'll scream and scream and scream. he doesn't try to escape unless i turn my back on him. When i turn the water on he shuts up and lets me wash him. Then as soon as i turn the water off he starts screaming again. LOL After the bath i dry him with a towel and then blow dry him. he hates that but will sit still for a few minutes before trying to slink away. Once he's finished he walks over the cabinet where his treats are and sits there until i give him some. he knows that after his bath he gets treats.

| I did this too! When my cat was a kitten it jumped into the TOILET!!! So gross... it was bath time... But I have Shaved my cat once! He was shedding like crazy, and at the time I would shave down our lab's hair...(Just short...not bald!) And I did such a good job on the dog I figured why not the cat... Sooooo I took him in the bathroom, (so he couldn't exscape) and it turned out he LOVED the buzzer...rubbed up against it and walla the fur just fell to the floor...couldn't be easyer till...THE BUZZER DIED HALF WAY THROUGH! I kid you not, he was half shaved and half not! My hubby came home and said WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CAT??? I told him and he said...Thats it...get the buzzer... give it to me... you can't have it back until you can be more responsible!!!

I gave one of them a bath and it just went limp..like hurry get this over with asap i promise i wont move...then when I was done and dried him off he jumped up and went wild running and shaking thru the house! lol. It was humorous. They look so funny wet..oh and the looks they give us! Lol. |
