I'm so sorry you have to deal with this, Sweetie, but at least you can give Sammy the best 2 years a furbaby ever had. Recession is when the cancer stops growing and you get some extra time. So, recession is a good thing. Sometimes it lasts for quite a while, sometimes it doesn't. Only time will tell. But, until then, give Sammy all the hugs and loving you can. Put a whole lifetime of love into the time he has left and he will love you all the more for it. Try to keep your chin up for Sammy because he will know if you are sad and that will make him sad. And, above all, be brave. I'll keep you, your family and especially Sammy in my thoughts and prayers. |
KellyMarie. I'm sorry about Sammy. I know how hard this is on you and your family. You see I'm 40 yrs. old and my husband a little older then that and a tough police officer to boot. We lost our Newman over the summer. Newman like Sammy had cancer. His cancer was rare and it spread to his liver so we had to make the choice we thought was right for him. We decided to let Newman go peacefully and so we brought him together as a family, held him and told him how much we loved him as our doctor gave him a shot to let him go to sleep and over to the Rainbow Bridge. We still miss him, and I still cry for him. Like you my two sons are young. My oldest just turned 14 and my youngest 11 and it was very hard on them and it's still tough on me an adult, so I can only imagine the pain a little girl like yourself is feeling. Just love Sammy everyday that you have with him and when it's time you'll know because Sammy will tell you. In his own way he will let you know. My heart is with you and your family. Elaine. |
*update* yesterday, i went with my mommy and sammy to his specialist vet. she brought him into the room with her, and about 10 minutes later, she came out and told us news. she said that the good news is that he's in remission now, and feeling better. the bad news is that now that he started early, he only has 6-7 months left =[ she said that when the cancer comes out of remission, he's gonna be worse. and as much as my mommy and daddy want to help him, it costs too much to go through this process again :( :( please pray that his last months are special :( thank you everyone. |
