I ended up going to school today -- THAT was a painful expieriance. My knee is killing me...a bit swollen. everyone I know thinks its a torn miniscus. Joy. I'm in a show at my PA school next month. There's 4 (short) 2 person plays, with 2 freshmen in each show - directed by the seniors. If its a torn miniscus, from what I've heard, it can take like 6 weeks to heal, and sometimes surgery is needed. ![]() gahhhhh. *sigh* thanks for letting me vent haha. I'm just kind of stressed out about this.

I Love Thor Donating Member | ![]() Aw that sucks! Maybe you should ice it, and bandage it up for support? My mom just had surgery for her torn miniscus (sp??) and it was really easy, and noninvasive. Hopefully you don't have that, but worst case, it wasn't that bad. Hope you heal soon!! |

I'm glad your going to the doctor! I really hope that its not anything serious! I had a minor sports injury about 4 years ago while either playing hockey or snowboarding and now have to deal with severe pain in my knee almost daily. It is definitely NO fun! I opted not to have surgery at the time of the injury because there were no guarantees that it would help...but now I sorta regret that decision. Anyway! Sorry to ramble! I hope you feel better soon!!!! Knee problems are AWFUL. Praying for ya!

So I went to the doctor last week. Its been a week since I hurt my knee. Its really doing MUCH better now. He said its probably just a bad sprain - stay off of it, wrap it, etc. So I've been on crutches with an ace bandage hopping around school. ![]() I can put a lot more weight on it now though. I can walk without the crutches (though it takes me a while to get around, which is why I'm still taking them to school). I can't straighten my leg at all unless I like stand still and force it to straighten. That worries me a bit. But its probably just because I haven't straightened my leg or walked on it normally in a week. I was able to do most of the blocking today at rehearsal without crutches. I'm paying for it now - but even with that its still feeling a lot better than it was. I'm SOOO glad its not a torn miniscus. I almost cried when I found out that's what it might be. ![]() Dixon - HI! ![]()
