okay. My mom still just does not get that you don't breed for $$! It makes me upset, but I've just decided it's her own problem. I was telling her about spaying a dog and placing it in a pet home if it doesn't turn out to breed. She's like, who says you have to spay it. I was like, me! So I went on to explain, but then she says to me, do the show breeders always require their pets to be spayed, because they want to make all the money? I was like, no they never breed just to sell puppies, they always breed for themselves.
I'm hoping once I get into this a little deeper, she'l understand more. I think it's just because she hasn't read 900 books about it, so she's just no quite on the same page.
I don't mean to make her look like she's dumb or anything, she's not! it's just frustrating sometimes.

Dogs seems like 20 plus years on and off. Delivered many kittens for friends as well. Yorkies this is my first time, but I have 2 mentors (actually 3 that I can use). My 2 main mentors have over 70 years combined experience between them breeding yorkie's. I got the experience behind me and I'm more then prepared medically here. I docked my own tails on this first litter and removed their dewclaws too.

I lived in NJ for 14 years when I was a kid. I have relatives all over ny and nj, but I really don't want much snow to live in.

Is that too long of an estimate? Okay, maybe Spring?? 7-8 months?

That is why I leave breeding to the pros! Icould never do tails and claws.... you are Brave woman ....

I don't show at present time, but I would hope that I can work up to that aspect of the yorkie breed. I would love to get into showing after a few years of breeding. I did several years of research and then I guess I got my first Yorkie a year ago, and started from there. Lets just say the dogs run this house, they are spoiled rotten, loved, well socialized and the best part of my day is playing with them and getting puppy kisses!!

Do you have any dogs? I couldn't wait that long to get a dog!!!!! Especially being a member or a yorkie forum. I waited about 3 months before Aubrey was born, and waited two weeks for Dakota.
