My family wanted me to think hard about Tink having her surgery and treatment with the infection. But, she's worth it to me and I don't have anyone else I have to take care of financially. As far as "he who has no name", well, all he needed were antibiotics costing about $6 and a flea bath. The vet is doing all of that for free. That being said, I try not to judge the original owners in these situations too harshly...perhaps the overall cost of the dog was getting to be to much and they just didn't know what to do.
He goes to his foster home Friday night, so he'll be looking for a home. Apparently on the East Coast, as the rescue feels strongly about only placing them where they can pick them up in a hurry. They've placed over 500 yorkies, and have had more than one occasion where they recieved a call (from the people who adopted) saying come take him back or we're: giving him away, putting him to sleep, letting him out the front door....etc. |
