I want to buy a new rug for the living room - an area rug. I want a light blue one with flowers. Not easy to find. I'm also trying to decide if I want to reupholster my couch or buy a new one. Any ideas anyone?

I scrapbooked with friends and then went shopping with my mom.

I say buy a new one. I have a leather sectional and I love it, its easy to clean and I have the furbabies blankets on their section. I found that putting down a throw rug doesn't work in my home cause they try to eat and chew it.

Depends. Do you LIKE your current couch -- other than its current design/color?

If you do, might be worth reupholstering. If not, no real harm in starting over, right?

Sounds like a nice day for you. My only fun time was playing with these 3 puppies who are just a little over 3 weeks now. I don't scrapbook, but I hear it is time consuming and fun to do.

Right on BOTH counts! Ozzie got lots and lots of quality time last night so I didn't feel bad about leaving him most of the day. My mom was with him anyway most of the time so it wasn't like he was alone.

You've got a houseful of babies. I'll bet they're cute!

They sure are getting bigger and cuter by the day. I posted their pictures in the nursery 2 days ago.
Sounds like Ozzie was in good hands, and mom got some much needed out time too.

Check out this rug.

I like my current couch alot. In fact that's why I'm hangin on to it. I haven't found another I like as well. I shoulld probably go talk to an upholsterer to see how much it would cost to recover it.

Leather is beautiful, but not my style. I like florals. Ho hum. What a chore.

I've stayed away from scrapbooking 'cause I'd spend a ton on the supplies and then if I didn't like it, I'd be stuck with all the stuff.

Yeah, I was kidding her as she has been a real social butterfly this week.

She went to a PartyLite party on Weds. and then out with her friends on Friday.

I'm glad though. She has been a hermit most of the year. She got pneumonia around Christmas and as soon as she was getting over that, she came down with shingles. About the first time those started to clear up, she got them AGAIN. She is just now getting better. It's been ridiculous.

That's a nice looking throw rug. I guess if you really like the couch you have reconditioning it would be okay if the couch itself is okay as far as its stability in the frame.

Yes and no. She wore out pretty quickly. Didn't even go in the last two places with me.

She's already been asleep for over an hour. REALLY rare for her. But just getting her out of the house is good.

At least you got her out for awhile, sometimes just getting out can lift your spirits. I hope she continues to do better each day.
