Lovely weather forecast...I don't think we have a great deal of snow expected...just the bitter cold. I am prepared now, Santa brought me a new parka type coat with a nice warm hood...and some boots, usually I just wear a pea coat and dress shoes to work. But that was before we moved the hospital out in the country with no protection from the snow and wind. What were they thinking??? I don't think they were...that's the problem!!! |

Ya know, I agree with you. They build in the summer and then comes winter and there is nothing to break the wind cause they forgot it takes 20 years for the trees to grow! Silly people. |

Hello big little thread! :aimeeyork |
1 Attachment(s) Poor little big thread, you are in a resting phase I think. But can you imagine that you are still active and appreciated? Of course you can't, but we who post on you can! :D Here - think on this for awhile. |

Hey everyone. Sounds like there is a lot of sickness going around. I'm very thankful I have been spared any of it. I'm just hibernating and enjoying my little girls. :) I love my little Yorkies so much - stinkers that they can be at times. Went to see Marley and Me yesterday and went out to brunch today. It felt good to get out and have some fun. Tinka starts training classes Tuesday evening - should be interesting. |

Did you cry over the movie? I'm a bit afraid to go see it in the theater...I just know I'll bawl like a baby!!! Good luck with the training classes. Winston was a puppy obedience school drop-out!!! Not because he couldn't learn, he was a quick learner...I just didn't care for the teacher...she didn't seem to care about the little ones, she focused ALL her attention on the collies, shepherds and labs. Oh well, I got my money back and an apology...and decided not to go back. Hope yours has a better outcome. |
Oh dear! Tink's an Obedience School Never-Been kid. Every time I've been ready to take her, something has happened to either me or her. I fear she will always be a brat and it's all my fault. I've spoiled her to rottenness - but not to worry, she doesn't stink. :p She only does her commands if she thinks she's gonna get a treat. She refuses to hear the word "come", and resists the "stay" command with all her might although she has been known to occassionally succumb. Tink, Tink, Tink, what shall I do with you?! Just love you to pieces I guess.:) |
Hi TK...just dropping in to make sure you are still alive and well!!! Susie, it's never too late to teach your Tinker brat the simplest commands. Winston is really a very quick learner...he just never graduated, but again that's my fault, not his. I think our town is too small to have different classes for different types of dogs/pups. The teacher never took an interest in the little guys, didn't seem to really care if they were there or not. I understand the importance in training the larger breeds as those are the ones that could do the most damage...but still, the little ones need guidance as well.... |
Hi thread! Looks like you haven't been visited for 2 days. |
This is kind of sad...where is everybody? |

Kathy...how is Winston tonight? I found out Champaigne vet school doesn't have a neurologist...closest one is Chicago. |
Those puppies are SO darn cute!!! How much fun you must be having. :) Tinka went to her 2nd class tonight and she gets to move up to level 2 next week! Yippee!!! I stopped at Burger King on the way home and got a Whopper Jr. and let her a few tiny bites of the meat for her reward. I love Whoppers... I don't eat them very often at all but I have loved them since I was a kid. Susie - it's ok to use treats at first and then as they learn, you quit using them. To pass to level 2, Tinka had to do the simple commands without any treats and it wasn't a problem even though we use them for training at first. How is our little Tink doing now a days? Any further problems at all? |

Kathy...I'll see what I can find out from my vet and let you know if you want me to. Here's the webpage for the U of I Vet School contact info. Maybe you can call and see if they have a nutritionist. Contact Us, College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign |

Will do, give Winston a hug that is, although I'll have to steal him from hubby they're all snuggled in watching TV together. Like father like son... |
