You know what really scares me about this rehoming thing is the sincerety of the "new" owners. Three times now I have seen where someone places a post or an ad on a site to adopt out their dog for a fee! They buy the dog and turn around and sell the dog for more than what they paid for it and the original owner never knows. It breaks my heart! Not too long ago someone needed to rehome their yorkie (on YT thread) and their were like five "newbies" with 1 or 2 posts and "just" joined YT that posted they wanted her dog! I PM her not to sell to Newbies and warned her why and the dangers. One poster I knew and said she would make a good mommy to her baby. But begged her to at least not let a newbie take her! Don't know what happened and she never replied to my PM.:mad:

Have you heard of Sam Simon? The are doing a show on him on 60 minutes tonight. He rescues strays and takes them to his 5 acre (i think) home and keeps them and gives them a second chance at life. His place looks incredible! I think I will go and watch it, if you don't mind.... I've never heard of the guy but it looks pretty cool.

I don't think "newbies" ought to be allowed to adopt from here. Isn't there some talk now about making that a rule? People should at least know the basics of someones life before they give/sell a dog to them!

I know, nothing good.... I'm trying to get Tinka (my cottony girl) to go potty outside so I can brush her but she won't go. I think she knows what is coming! It's time for a cut for her. Her hair is so unmanagable. I have ordered Plush Puppy stuff for her, so we'll see if it will help or not. If not, off goes the hair! :p

That was spoken as someone who truely lives in warm climate!!! Tinka actually gets warm easily. She is bigger - probably 8 lbs, so she's not a tiny little lady - more like Yorkiezilla. :D

So glad to see you Carol :) Hey Omega I am gonna give Lodi his Shorty cut early too I'll just have to put a sweater on him till it warms up. he looks like a scruff muffin right now.
