their storm pit is a room off the side of the basement...it is blocked all the way around with a 18" thick steel door....it is vented and very comfortable to be in....they showed it to us when they built their house...but we have never had to use it..

If those aren't tights she was scalded in a hot bathtub right before the pic was taken...could explain the look on her face tho! Her legs are as red and that toy she is holding! :eek:
