Morning all!

Yep...it is just a little overcast today! Last night I thought the house was going to blow off the stilts really windy...but I loved it!!
no rain yet...just wind and overcast today...Bonnie got her first taste of the gulf yesterday...we were getting our feet wet, then my flip flop fell off so i am running after it as it is washing back to sea and I'm dragging her with me on her leash ds saved the day and got my flip flop back Today when we go back on the beach she may not want to go

Y'all have a good day...i'm off over the long long long bridge to restock the fridge and to pick up some movies!!

Good morning all! (another 30 min it would be afternoon!) Very busy at work.
Still feel crummy....it's the antibiotic screwing up my stomach....ok, enough info on that, I'm sure.

Hey Rhonda that pinapple walnut cake sounds wonderful, can you get me the recipe?

Was going to make comments on other stuff I read, totally drawing a blank. I want to go home and go back to bed.

Trying to set up a flight to send ds to NC for a few days. His best, really his only friend moved there a couple of weeks ago and he is so depressed. I can't believe the cost! $400 for a 1 hr and 45 min flight. Then, he is flying alone for the first time so it's another $100 to have him go as an unaccompanied minor. (that way friends mom can pick him up right at the gate) uuuurrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhh!

Teri, Morning! Hope ya feel better soon, I hate that screwed up tummy feeling, constantly on your mind, No forgetting about that, I had that for quite awhile after my surgery..
I'll get the recipe when I go for lunch.. I have it at home, remember if ya make it, it's not a rising type cake, it stays lower like an inch, inch and a half only in height,, but is is YUMMY and moist. Great icicng,, YUMMO, I'll be eating some for lunch too.

I'm sure he's going to have a great time. $500 for an hour and 45 min, sounds like a lot, but it's so worth it.

Murders rose 4.8 percent, meaning there were more than 16,900 victims in 2005. That would be the most since 1998 and the largest percentage increase in 15 years.

Murders jumped from 272 to 334 in Houston, a 23 percent spike; from 330 to 377 in Philadelphia, a 14 percent rise; and from 131 to 144 in Las Vegas, a 10 percent increase

Thanks. I have to bring a dessert to my sister's on Sunday and I was looking for something different. She has a big Father's Day BBQ every year. She is freaking out because they took the cover off of their pool and it was disgusting! The cover had a hole so bil cut it up to throw away. Now, realized the filter is broken and they can't get a pool guy in time to have it ready for Sunday. So, sis says, "just put the cover back on" Oops, can't do that. She is not happy that she will have a yard full of people looking at a black hole in her yard! This is why I don't have a pool. Community pool is a few blocks away and they do all of the work.

I would expect to pay a lot for Korea. This is a less than 2 hour flight! then I looked into the train, it was only $150 less, and it stops in DC. I said forget it, he wasn't sitting on a train by himself for 9 hours. I'll just get a straw and suck it up. He is so depressed. There just isn't anyone else in our neighborhood to hang out with. In fact, he annoyed me the other day and I told him he was grounded. He said "whatever, where am I going to go anyway?"
