Guess what! I'm going to learn how to sew :eek: :eek: :eek:
Son's girlfriend was in the drum room last night and found my sewing machine
in the corner and asked if I knew how to sew. I just laughed, and said no, but I did get a great deal on it, it was on sale :D So now she wants to show me how to use it,:confused: I have a feeling this won't be an easy task.:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Not really sad....just kind of draggy you know! Yep I think a glass of OJ would do the trick...now if I would just get up and walk the 10 feet next door to the grocery store and get some!!

Have you forgotten the title of this thread. Richard Hatch was my OT comment of the day. He's going to prison for 51 months....cause he's stupid and didn't claim his survivor prize (plus some more ching on other survivor related gigs)...on his TAX return. :rolleyes:

Home Ec...Gina's teaching home ec. ;) I can sew...I used to make crafts and participate in craft shows....long before eBay. Course back then you'd pay your $50 fee to participate...then sit for 2-3 days to make 100 bucks. Decided I didn't need the money that dang bad. Dd sews wonderfully. Had a friend in HS that sewed all her own clothes....she got best dressed in HS. Any time Jennifer didn't have something to wear....she'd whip up an outfit.

Btw, Jennifer is the kid I got in a fist fight with when I was 8.

I was supposed to learn to sew in 9th grade home ec class...but I was too busy pulling practical jokes on my friend...unrolling her thread about 10" and cut it then wind it back up:rolleyes: ....just stuff like that...it was more fun than sewing! But I did like the cooking part of home ec...although my family wouldn't believe that because I don't like to cook now!

In our homec class, the only sewing we had to do was sew this stuffed animal together, it looked so cute on the pacckage, Mine was a bunny... go figure the irony, in that....
So I get it home and my Mom says " What is that?" I said " a rabbit" hmmmm, she said...:(

It's funny, I vividly remember looking at it,and thinking How hard can it be to sew these pieces together and throw some stuffing in there... why does mine look like a total train wreck?! :cool:

This guy just calls here,, My name is Chuck Smucker.. I said " excuse me" He said it again... Boy it took everthing in me not to comment on that one.. WHY.. would parents do that to a kid... " Ahhh he's so cute, let's name him Charles Smucker and they'll call him Chuck Smucker" :rolleyes: Why?

Same reason Ima Pig's parents are still giggling.....went to school with a family whose last name was Berry....the children's names were Sherry, Larry....at least there wasn't a Barry Berry. :rolleyes:

Friend named Virginia married a guy with the last name Beach...spelled just that way. Virginia Beach....so then she says every time she fills out some kind of application...people constantly return it and say...please fill in YOUR name here....NOT your city...LOL.

And we did something kinda bad to DD. Casey has my mother's name as her middle name....my mother's name was Joan. :rolleyes:

At least we didn't name her Casey Casey, huh, Louise, Louise ;)

What's wrong with Joan? That is my sister's name and I always liked it better than mine. Poor Megan her initials are MES! I said just be glad you weren't named Patricia Marie...then they'd be PMS. I have a friend with two girls named Holly and Rose Wood!

Hey rr, I was thinking about your bunny problem. Why don't you spray some bitter apple down the hole on to the babies??? Then Bailey won't like the taste!:D

Nothing is wrong with Joan...however, paired with Casey...sounds alot like Casey JONES...which is exactly what some people think her middle name is. :rolleyes:

To BM....on dd's lovey. Pup pup met an unfortunate accident with a golden retreiver puppy we once owned. Sally gutted pup pup and tore him limb from limb. I don't know who cried more....dd who found him in the yard or my husband because dd was so heartbroken. I gathered all the pup pup pieces I could find....and sewed him back together...all the while Casey was standing beside me overseeing the operation. He is minus one arm, one leg is shorter than the others, he now has cropped ears, and a heart applique covering the hole in his chest..but when I was finished....she grabbed him and hugged him tight. :) Btw, when pup pup would get washed....dd would pace the laundry room..."is he done yet, is he done yet"....think she was having lovey withdrawels. ;)

Awwwwww...that is so sweet! You win the Mother of the Year award!! My kids would tell you that I would have said "Oh get over it" but that is not true...they just think it is funny when they say that....I have been known to use that phrase a lot! My oldest son had a crocheted baby blanket that he named "buppy"! I always loved that name...don't know where he got it from...he used it the blanket til he was about 10 and at that time there was just pieces left of it. My youngest son had a blue blanket that he named "Pink" :p you could ask him what color is pink blankie...and he would look at you like you were crazy and say "blue"! Middle son had a blankie also, but he just named it "blankie" ;) let's just say he is not as creative as the other 2!! :rolleyes:

Back to the weird people names....had some people in our hometown with last name of Christmas.....yep you got it....they named their daughter Merry :rolleyes:

Cause I don't know where the nest is.. the cat brings em home, but he is just playing with em, and then KILLER sees em moving and it's ON!

I know a Merry Christmas too.

One time we thought we'd lost pup pup at JC Penneys....we are frantic...talk to lost and found....the gal says "oh, I hope no one took him home'....told her...."lady you haven't seen this nasty dog....he didn't go home with anyone but he may be in the TRASH." Pup pup went EVERYWHERE we went and nothing insulted dd more than have someone refer to him as a teddy bear...he was a DOG. When he was new....you'd press his nose and he'd whimper and cry....he was way cute. If you made him cry...dd would snatch him out of your arms and hug him.

PS My life was saved. Pup pup wasn't AT penney's...he'd fallen under the garage steps. YaY! Another mom award!!

PPSS Ya know that commercial for mini vans...and the mom's "breaking" in her dd's lovey? I so relate to that commercial....been there...went out and bought a pup pup replacement (while he was vacationing under the stairs)...nope, C could tell....he wasn't pup pup. Btw....second one's name was Momma puppy.
